Chapter 72

They told Brent what the nurse said.
He quickly came over and waited with them.
After a few hours the doctor finally came back out.
"Ok well we asked her a few questions and.....she really can't remember anything. She cried trying to remember she said she doesn't ever remember going to New York or moving here to Utah. She'll have to restart her memories from 8 months ago I'm sorry" the doctor said.
Crawford ran his hand through his hair frustrated.
He needed to see her though.
Brent had read his mind.
"Can we see her?" Brent asked.
The doctor nodded and said only two at a time could go.
"I'll go in first since I'm her brother Chris come with me" Brent said.
Crawford got mad that he would have to go with Cameron but didn't argue.
After a few minutes Brent came out and said Crawford and Cameron could go in.
"You ready?" Cameron said.
Crawford nodded but the truth was he was really nervous.
They walked inside slowly.
Jasmine was sitting up on her bed scrolling through the photos in Brent's phone.
When she heard Crawford and Cameron come in she quickly looked up.
Crawford smiled at her.
She just gave him and Cameron a puzzled expression.
"Who are you guys? Brent said I only have one brother and the other guy.....Chris?" Jasmine said.
Cameron nodded.
"That's Brent's best friend so who are you guys?" Jasmine asked.
"I'll start" Cameron said.
Before Crawford could protest he started talking.
"I'm Cameron you and I dated for a little while but things got in the way and we broke up. I did some pretty fucked up things but I was the one who warned you about someone going to try to kill you" Cameron said.
"Wow you are such and idiot what of 'she has to restart her memory' did you not get?!" Crawford said.
"Oops?" Cameron said.
Jasmine just stared at both of them.
"Your turn" Cameron said rolling his eyes.
"I'm Crawford. I know you probably don't remember much and you don't remember me and .....this guy but I'm happy you're alive and awake" Crawford said.
He wanted to go kiss her so bad and tell her the whole truth and hope she'd remember.
But he couldn't.
Cameron already tried and now she looks more confused than ever.
"Ok so you're Cameron and you're Crawford? Those names aren't really ringing any bells" Jasmine said.
Before both guys could say anything she continued to scroll through Brent's phone. Crawford and Cameron just watched her.
She froze when she saw some sort of video. "Why are you here?" Jasmine said looking up. "Me?" Both guys said in unison.
Jasmine shook her head and pointed at Crawford.
He froze. Should he tell her?
"I....I'm Chris's brother" Crawford said.
"How do you know me though? I remember meeting Chris at a movie theater with Brent I don't remember ever talking to you.....or you" Jasmine said looking frightened.
"Look Jasmine you have to remember we both love you and we miss you so much you have to remember!" Cameron said crying.
Jasmine looked scared now.
"Brent!" She yelled.
Great job Cameron Crawford thought.
He grabbed Cameron's arms and pushed him out of the room and closed the door.
"What happened? Did Jasmine call me?" Brent said.
Crawford nodded and Brent went into her room quickly.
"What the hell is wrong with you?" He said to Cameron.
"You know you wanted to tell her the truth too" Cameron said.
"I did but that's not gonna help her don't you see?! She can't remember" Crawford said shoving Cameron.
Cameron was about to fight back but Chris stepped between them.
"I think it's best if you both left. She remembers me and Brent you guys will have to slowly gain back her friendship right now she feels scared because she can't remember you guys" Chris said.
He walked both Crawford and Cameron out. "Go back home we'll update you guys on how she's doing" Chris said.
Cameron nodded and went to his car.
Crawford just stood there.
"Look Crawf I know this is hard but trying to tell her everything is just gonna mess up her mind more just restart with her once she's back home you can go visit and slowly gain her trust back" Chris said.
Crawford nodded and started walking back to their car. He couldn't stop thinking.
She doesn't remember me she doesn't want to see me.
