The Koi fish part 7

Weeks passed and the mansion staff accepted the girl into their ranks. Even the prince's parents had taken a liking to the girl. She was following the prince around like a puppy, while helping with his duties. Many members of the male staff had tried to flirt with Ren, but it stopped when the prince told them to keep their hands off her.

One day the prince's parents summoned him into the great hall. He had noticed a carriage parking outside the mansion earlier. The girl cleaned his room, as he left for the great hall. He had a bad feeling about what his parents wanted.

When he entered the hall, his parents were standing together with the magister Fujimoto and a young woman dressed in a fancy kimono. The prince painted on a smile and walked over to them.

"My son, there you are" his father said and everyone turned their eyes towards him. The prince said "Hallo father and mother you called for me" and made a small bow. He walked over to them and the father said, "You know Magister Fujimoto". The prince nodded and made a small bow.

"Lord Akihiko long time no see" Fujimoto said and bowed. He rose his head and said, "This is my daughter Hana", while the woman took a step forth. The prince bow and said "a pleasure to meet you, lady Hana". She bow at him and gave him a seductive smile.

"My son, me and Fujimoto have been discussing a union between our two families" the prince father while giving him a joys smile. The prince tilted his head and asked, "How would this union take place". A smile was on his parents and Fujimoto's face.

"We decided that you and Hana should be engaged" his father said and the prince pupils grew large. He wrinkled his brow and said, "I am sorry father, I must respectfully decline". His father looked at him dumbfounded. Fujimoto made a rusty smile and said, "Of course we are implying that you two are to get married right away, you need to think of this as a long term process".

"Even so, I must still decline" the prince said with a smile. His father turned towards him and said, "Son is there a specific reason why you are decline". An image of Ren smile came into the prince head and made him smile. He shook his head and mumbled, "Not really".

"Maybe Lord Akihiko should get some time to think about it," Fujimoto said while looking towards the princes parents. The prince father nodded and said, "That is probably for the best, why don't you two come to the ball we are having at our winter manor". Magister Fujimoto bowed and said, "It would be a pleasure to attend such an extravagant event".
