Sea breeze part 4

Her cheek blushed as she saw into its rainbow colored eyes. The creature had a human upper body, but few marking of scale could be seen across its body. Its hair looked like beautiful green seaweed were fragments of salt glittered like small diamantes. The creature had a flat chest and had a skinny waist. It had a tail which was a mix of a dark blue and green. The edge of the tail looked like a glittering green veil. In the creatures hand was a flute made from colorful corals.

"Who are you" she said with a shy gaze. The creature gave an innocent smile and a large splash came from the pound. She ran towards the pound and yelled "wait don't go" while reaching out her hand. When she came to the pound, she could not see the creature vanishing into the black hole. Tears stream down her cheek and creature rings in the water.

"I didn't mean to scar you" she mumbled, while looking towards the ceiling. The corner of her eyes turned red as she rubbed her hands against her ears. Suddenly she could feel something moving across her shoulder. She removed her hands from her eyes and saw the creature staring into her eyes. In between its fingers was skin and she could feel its warmth as it removed the tears around her eyes.

"Why is water running from your eyes" the creature asked with a feminine voice. The creature smiled warmly as the princesses said, "I am afraid of being alone". It tilted is head and rose from the water. The creature took the princesses into a motherly embrace as it said "don't worry, I am here". It tail was moving around in the water and colorful fish started coming out of the black hole in the pound. She looked into the creature magical eyes and mumbled "thank you" as she returned its embrace.

"Tell me how did I, end up here" the princess said as she dried away the last tear rolling down her cheek. She creature looked down into the pound and said, "I saw you falling off that large brown thing, which was flooding on top of the sea". It took a deep breath and continued "and without think I caught you and took you my secret cave".

The princess blinked her eyes and mumbled "you saved me". It made a soft smile and said "you could say that" while playing with some of its seaweed hair. A smile formed on the princesses lips as she said, "It seems like I owe a mermaid my life".

The creature blinked its eyes and looked at her with a dumbfounded expression as it said "are you saying that I should kill you because I saved your life". A giggle came on the princess's face as she said, "No, it is just an expression among my kind".

Laughter filled the cave as the princess kept talking with its new friend from the sea.
