She felt the salt itching her skin as she broke through the water surface. Her heart pounded wildly and she felt the pressure on her lunges reduce. She looked around them and saw a shore in the horizon.
"Are you alright" the mermaid said and placed it's hand on her shoulder. Her breathing was heavy but she gave the mermaid a reassuring nod as she pressed her hand to her chest. The waves that had made her fall into the deep ocean had all gone quiet.
For days the princess had not seen the sun and her cheeks got colored as she baked under it. The crystals in the cave was truly beautiful, but noticing could ever replace the warmth and joy of seeing the sun again. She was lead towards the shore by the mermaid, but her heart grew heavy as they came closer and closer.
When she could feel her feet against the wet sand, the mermaid stopped. She gave looked towards the mermaid as a tear feel from her eyes. The mermaid eyes were filled with moist as it took the princesses into her embrace.
"Are we ever going to meet again" the princesses again while holding tightly onto its hands. The mermaid looked down into the word and mumbled "Maybe, but that is up to you". It took out the choral flute and placed it into the princess's soft hands.
The mermaid turned its back towards her and before the princesses could say anything it had already vanished into the vast ocean. She sighed as she tightened her grip around the choral flute. A soft smile was on her lips as she gazed down on the flute.
She walked onto the breach as her hair began to dance with the wind. The warmth sand tickled her feet as she gazed out unto the ocean. Small tears fell from her eyes as she mumbled "I know we will" while placing the flute against her chest.
"Princess, Princess" a voice yelled in the distance. She turned around and her pupils grew as she saw one of her father and the captain riding towards her on mighty horses. A third person was riding with them on a white stallion, but she did not recognize him.
The king jumped of his horse and ran towards her. He took her into his embrace while making a sigh of relief.
"Thank goodness, I thought I had lost you for good" he said while rubbings his hand against her hair. She mumbled "Father your clothes will get soaked" while returning his embrace. He released her and looked towards the men that was riding with him.
"I am so sorry for what happened princess, your father and I have been at every single shoreline around the world trying to find you" the captain said while they both jumped of their horses. The king gave him a soft smile and said "Don't worry about it captain, all that matters is that I have my daughter back".
The king took his daughters hand and led her towards the stranger that had ridden on the stallion.
"My daughter, I have someone for you to meet" he said as he stopped moving right in front of the stranger.
"This is Prince Bryan, he has been helping us trying to find you" the king said with joy. A smile was on Bryan face as he reached out his hand towards the princess. The princess placed her hand on top of his hand.
"Nice to meet you princess" he said as he placed a kiss on her hand.
A sharp pain suddenly ran through her body and a small moan of pain came from her as she pressed her hand against her stomach. Freeze blood glided down her legs and colored the sand. Her father looked at her with concern and asked "are you alright".
