Sea breeze part 10

She walked over to the door and pressed down the handle. On the other side she could see Prince Bryan standing tall wearing a uniform that was black and gold. In his side was a sword which sheet had been decorated with a dragon like golden pattern. He gave her a slight bow and put forth his hand.

"Princess would you do me the honor of letting me escort you to the ballroom" he said with a soft smile on his lips. Her heart was pounding as she gave him a slight nod and placed her hand in his. He guided her through the major halls and towards a crystal like ballroom. It roof reminded her of that in the cave which made a tears fall from her eyes as she remembered her dear friend.

"Princess are you alright" he said as he noticed the tear fall from her eyes. She removed the tears with her thump and said, "I am alright" while sending him a carefree smile. He sighed and the music broke through the ballroom and covered up all the chit chatting. He turned his body 90 degrees towards her and gave her once again a bow.

"Would you care to dance my princess" he said as people began to stare at the two royals standing in front of the great door. Her heart pounded as she felt other women's judging eyes as they saw their pressure prince talking with a foreign princess. Her eyes fell on her father that was standing in the crowd. He gave her a slight nod and she automatically placed her hand on top of the prince's hand.

He led her out on the dance floor as the music rang in her ears. His hand glided down the back of her dress and stopped a bit under her waistline. She placed on hand on his shoulder and the other was linked with his.

People were staring at them as their dance began. They had never seen a pair dance so delicately and enchanting. Tears fell from some of the eyes that gazed upon them. The princess focused on her dancing and keeping up her forced on smile. Her heart pounded more as she felt how he pulled her closer as he moved his hand further down.

Suddenly the music stopped and she quickly took a few steps away from him while giving him a slight curtsy. She tried calm herself as the prince suddenly call upon the attention of the guest that surrounded them.

All of them stared with amazement as the prince went down on one knee and pulled a small box out of his pocket. Her heart went wild again while biting down on her lower lip.

"Princess now that you have come of age, I have something I would like to ask you which would benefit both our countries" he said while opening the small box. Inside it was a beautiful ring made pure gold and had a pink star diamond on it.

"Would you become my queen" he said and the entire ballroom became quite like never before. Sweat dripped from her back as she felt how all of them waited for her answer.

Her mouth opened slowly as she mumbled "I...I..."
