Sea Breeze part 6

A sharp light came from a fare as they swam through the dark tunnel. Bubbles came from her mouth and head towards the surface. The mermaid was squeezed her hand as it lead the way through the tunnel.

Multiple fish were swimming around as they exited the other side of the black hole. Her eyes looked with around in amazement as she saw whales, sharks, octopuses and various fish species. All of the fish were living in harmony as they swam around the large coral reef that filled the entire area.

The mermaid swam into the reef and its scales changed into all the rainbows colors. An air bobble was inside the reef. The entire scenery was breath taking. The mermaid led the girl towards the air bobble. She gasped after air as she smashed through the water. Her heart pounded wildly and her lunges were hurting. Water dripped from her hair.

She looked towards her mermaid friend with the eyes of a child on Christmas morning. Her heart leaped as she held onto the mermaids hands.

"I have never seen anything so amazing before" she said excitingly as a big smile was painted on her face. A bitter smile suddenly came on the mermaids lips as she looked down at her own reflection.

"I thought I would be good for you to see my world before you had to go back to the surface" the mermaid mumbled as tiny waves formed in front of her.

"What do you mean, I am never going back up there this world is to amazing" the princess said joyfully as she made a small giggle. The mermaid shook its head and moved a hand across the princess cheek.

"You can't" the mermaid said as darkness formed around its eyes. The princess shook her head and said "what are you talking about, why can't I stay here". It drew back its hand and said with bitterness in its voice "because you need air to survive and you won't last long here under the sea". The princess dropped her shoulders and looked down towards her feet that were kicking under the water. A sigh came from her as she looked back at her mermaid friend.

"I understand, my dad is probably worried about me anyway" she said with a forced on smile. The mermaid embraced her and the word thank you filled her ears as she felt water drip down on her shoulder.

"Are you ready to go home" the mermaid said as it moved away from the princess. She nodded and took a tight hold onto the mermaid's hand. The princess took a deep breath and they both splashed through the water surface again.
