An Artist's Love

The Duel

~3rd person~

"Ive actually never had the opportunity to duel before. how do we proceed you'll have to tell me." Alois says

"We stand back to back, then begin walking at the call of ale, we pivot on the 10th step, and the duel begins." Ciel explains

"Ha! simple enough. sounds like fun lets do."

Both turn back to back holding their swords.

"Ale."

Both start walking forward

"1,2,3,4,5."

Ciel turns around

"Now now lets not have any cheating."

"Why you?!"

Ciel lunges at Alois. Alois dodges all hits.

"Hahahahahaha! You always lose your temper so quickly. Come lets enjoy our dance."

Ciel and Alois make their way up to the second floor of the room. Ciel keeps coming at Alois.

"That's it! 1,2,3! 1,2,3! Down you go!"

Alois pushes Ciel off of railing by his neck. Ciel his the floor gasping for air.  Alois jumps down to Ciel landing lightly on his feet.

"Here we are Ciel, you'll finally be mine."

Alois leans down on Ciel. Puts the sword blade against Ciel's neck.

"Sebastian so wants very badly to devour your soul. But he wont get to because you see I'm going to tare your soul to shreds and feed it to the spiders of my mansion. Poor thing i know its going to irritate him terribly. Hahahahahaha. this is going to be a lot of fun."

"The soul of the queen's guard dog isn't cheap. A trifling spider like you could never afford a taste. But if you don't mind having your legs ripped off then all means give it a try."

Alois sits up on Ciel. Alois looks at Ciel.

"I see you still have enough energy to be cheeky. Its useless to keep struggling. Just give up and submit to me!"

Alois thrusts the sword at Ciel. Ciel stops it with his bare hand.  Alois is shocked by his actions.

"Submit? I'm the one who has you."

Meredith runs into the room about to stop them. The only way to stop them was to put something in between them. Meredith runs right next to them. Blood runs down Ciel's hand. Alois sees Ciel pushing his sword away. Meredith moves in front of Alois. Ciel grabs his sword. Thrusts it into Meredith's side thinking it was Alois. Ciel quickly retrieves the sword out of her side.

Ciel and Alois yell at the same time.

"CLAUDE!"

"SEBASTIAN!"

Alois caught Meredith before she fell over. She looked at Alois.

~Meredith's pov~

"I need Dru." 

All of them came in. Dru out ran all of them. He didn't care about his white clothes. He came over and picked me up in his arms.

"It's going to be okay. I promise." Dru said trying to cheer me up.

The pain was terrible. I'm a crying mess. Sebastian and Claude stood in the door way. I signaled Claude to come to me. He came and got me out of Dru's arms.

"Can you help Claude? It hurts!"

"Alright, I'll do it. Sebastian take her to Alois's room."

"Thank you Claude."

Claude went to Sebastian. Placed me in his arms. Sebastian took me to the room. 

"Thanks Sebastian."

"My master did stab you. Plus when i tried hitting on you that one time."

Claude came in the room with towels, bandages, rags, a tank top, and his lounge pants. Claude puts the towels down on the bed. Sebastian sets me down. He takes a hold of my hand. Claude lifts up my shirt.

"Wow, that is deep."

"Thanks spider ass."

"Hey! I'm trying to help!"

Claude takes the wet rag and cleans the wound. I wince at the pain. Sebastian tightens his grip on my hand. Claude tosses the rag at Sebastian. Sebastian catches it. Claude wraps the bandages around my side and waist.  Sebastian leaves the room with the towels and rags. Claude helps me change into a black tank top and his lounge pants.  After that I looked at him. Claude took me in his arms.

"What if I lost you?! Don't do stupid shit like that!"

"Claude, I'm going to hell anyway."

"Don't say that! you could still have a chance!"

"I'm sorry. Can i see Alois now?"

"Yes. He is probably worried sick."

Claude picked me up in his arms. I kissed his cheek. He kissed mine back but kept his lips there for awhile. When we got outside all you could hear was Alois crying. Claude set me down on Alois's lap. Alois brought me closer to him. All his tears hit me. I started wiping his tears away. Out of no where he placed a passionate kiss on my lips. He pulled back.

"Why?! Why did you do something like that?! I would have been fine.!"

"No you wouldn't have! Ive seen how this was played out before! You died!"

"Well that could have been you right then!"

"But I would take any hit for you! I would do anything for you!"

"Good! I hope you do!"

"Asshole!"

"Cause I would do the same for you!"

I look at Alois. I look at him in his icy blue eyes. He nods. I place my head in the crook of his neck. He began to cry again. So did I. I love him. i didn't need him to die while I was away. Alois kisses my forehead.

"I hope you realize how lucky you are that I took the blow for you."

"I know. That's why everyday I cried. I missed you so much Meredith. Just don't leave me."

"I wont leave you. I promise."
