"What do you mean you're sleeping on the couch?" Audrey said with wide eyes.
"I want you to be comfortable, Audrey," I said, still looking at the television.
"This is your house. I'll just sleep on this couch tonight."
I shook my head and glanced at her. "I don't want you to."
She sighed. "Then we'll just sleep together."
I suddenly jumped out of the couch.
"What?" I exclaimed.
She raised an eyebrow and said, "What's wrong? Your bed is big enough for the both of us."
"Maybe you wouldn't be comfortable," I mumbled.
"James, really? What makes you think I'm not comfortable? After everything? It's impossible that I'm still not comfortable," she said, looking right straight into my eyes.
'James, you stupid prick,' I said to myself.
I nodded. "You're right. It's settled then, we're going to sleep together." I blushed immediately as I said those words.
She smiled and nodded.
For the rest of the day, all of us went to our farm. We taught Audrey some basics like getting an egg from the chickens' shelter and feeding the Cattles. She was surprisingly up to the game.
I forgot to mention to her that I have a pet dog. I was worried that she might get scared, but when she saw my pet dog, Tuck, she quickly went over to him and petted him. She mentioned to me how much she loves animals too. Surprisingly, Tuck seemed to love her company too.
I was watching her from the distance while she laughs and feed the Cattle at the same time with aunt. I didn't recognize that I was smiling while I watch her.
"She's something special to you, isn't she Jimmy?" Uncle said behind me. I jumped a bit.
"You scared me a little uncle." I chuckled. "She really is something special, but not only for me, but for everybody." I sighed happily.
"You're right. She's a lovely lady," Uncle stated. I nodded, agreeing to him.
"But tell me Jimmy, who are you to Audrey?" Uncle added. I faced him, confused.
"I don't understand. What do you mean, uncle?" I asked.
"What I meant to say was that, are you two a couple? When you introduced her to us, you didn't mention what she was to you. Is she your girlfriend, or just your friend? So your aunt and I were confused," Uncle said.
Then it hit me. What are we? Are we together now?
Uncle suddenly touched my shoulder and gave me a smile, then walked away.
While I was having deep thoughts, I heard Audrey shouted.
"James! Come over here!"
I quickly snapped out of my thoughts and ran towards her.
"What is it?" I asked.
"Guess what? I fed four Cattles today!" She exclaimed, victory clear on her eyes.
I grinned, amused by her cuteness. "That's great, Audrey. I'm so happy for you."
She beamed up at me. "Thank you, James." I gave her a shy grin.
We then looked up at the sky.
"The sun is already setting. Let's go inside now. Besides, you look like you need to clean up," I said.
She looked down at her clothes and giggled. "You're right."
We then headed inside in silence.
