"Okay, now stop there!" Audrey exclaimed. I gently set down the brown side table and glanced at Audrey for her answer if she likes the object in this corner or not.
After going through the photographs, Audrey decided that we should decorate her new home now and it's alright for me since I don't have anything to do.
"It's lovely!"
I sighed a relief and went to sit on the couch. I have been carrying furnitures for an hour now. I must admit that they're all heavy but who cares? As long as it's for Audrey then why the hell not?
"I shall get you a glass of lemonade," Audrey said.
"You don't have to, I can get one for myself," I replied.
She rolled her eyes playfully and said, "Sit down. I'm going to get one for you besides, you've done so much for me."
As I was just about to say something, Audrey walked away.
I chuckled and went back to sitting.
As I was looking around, I suddenly spotted the tyrannosaurus stuffed toy I won for her at the carnival.
It was placed on top of one of the boxes that has the words, 'Favorites', written on it.
I stood up and went to grab the stuffed toy and smiled upon remembering what had happen on that day.
"Did the t-rex do anything to you?" Audrey asked.
I quickly glanced and smiled at her.
"Nothing, but it did make me remember the day we went to the carnival with my cousin."
Audrey grinned and handed me a glass of lemonade.
"That was one of the best days of my life," she muttered shyly.
I chuckled at her adorableness.
"Too bad I can't hold you right now, I'm still sweaty and you might be disgusted," I said.
"I don't mind."
Without a warning, she hugged me from behind and started giggling.
"Gosh, you're extremely odd," I paused when Audrey stopped and pouted.
I cracked a smile and added, "And that's why I love you."
Me and Audrey laughed out loud and got back to decorating.
~~~~~~
It was finally the premiere night of the movie and I'm ecstatic. I just hope that nothing bad will happen because Audrey is going. I'm absolutely lucky to have her as my partner!
As I was brushing my teeth, my telephone rang. Still holding the toothbrush, I answered it.
"Hello?" I said.
"Hi Jimmy!"
I smiled instantly. I know whose voice is behind the line.
"Hey Audrey, why did you call?" I asked.
"I just want to ask if what time are you going to pick me up."
I glanced at the wall clock and replied, "About 7 PM."
"See you soon, love!"
Then we hung up.
~~~~~~
"I'm nervous," Audrey confessed.
I smiled at her and reassured that it's going to be fine.
We were still inside the limousine still trying to calm down. I could feel Audrey's gloved hand tightening around mine.
I don't know why she's nervous, she absolutely looks stunning and I know that she's going to be the spotlight for tonight.
She was wearing a flowing peach colored gown with a sweetheart neckline and it suits her perfectly.
I took her hands and planted kisses on them.
"Relax, I'm here for you."
She gave out a small smile and finally nodded.
I grinned and knocked on the window, signaling the driver that we're ready to go out.
When the door flew open, camera flashes and loud paparazzi welcomed us.
I got out first and helped Audrey up.
"James Dean, Audrey Hepburn, look this way!"
"Pose for the camera!"
"Stunning!"
Ignoring everyone, we made our way towards the red carpet.
"James!" Somebody called out.
When we turned around, we saw Nathalie Wood and Sal Mineo.
Grinning, I walked towards them and hugged them both.
"Hi James," both of them said.
Nathalie and Sal smiled widely.
"I'm so happy to see you both," I replied.
"We are happy to see you too and Hello to you Audrey!" Nathalie greeted.
Audrey smiled shyly and replied, "Hello Nathalie. You look wonderful!"
"James, please introduce me to the lovely Audrey Hepburn," Sal said with a pout.
"Okay. Just don't steal her away from me," I replied playfully. All of us laughed and I introduced Audrey to him.
I could tell that Sal was lovestruck at the beauty -- I mean who wouldn't?
Same thing happened with the other cast, all of them were really excited to introduce themselves to Audrey.
After that, we posed for the cameras and accepted interviews.
"How do you feel being here?" An interviewer asked Audrey.
"I'm quiet honored and gratified to meet new people," she replied.
"Thank you for your answer, Ms. Hepburn. Mr. Dean, are you excited to watch your film?"
"Absolutely!" I exclaimed happily.
Audrey let out a giggle and I felt my heart raised.
I glanced at her and smiled.
After an hour, we finally went inside the theater and get to watch the film.
When the film started, Audrey and I were pretty much smiling from ear to ear.
Audrey and I weren't talking throughout the film. We would laugh at some scenes but not talk.
When the film was close to ending, I could hear her siniffling. I then found out that she cried a bit.
I grabbed her hand and squeezed it lightly. She wiped away her tears with a tissue and smiled at me.
When the closing credits appeared, everyone cheered.
I got overwhelmed. This was the same feeling that I felt when the premiere night of East of Eden happened.
An announcer suddenly spoke, "Ladies and Gentlemen, the cast of Rebel Without A Cause!"
I stood up with the other casts and everyone was still applauding.
We went up the platform and more camera flashes appeared.
We vowed and grinned. I could tell that everybody was proud and overwhelmed with joy.
Then I saw Audrey in the audience, smiling and clapping. I winked at her and she simply blew me a kiss.
I smiled one more time before turning my attention back to the cameras.
