When I woke up the next morning, Audrey was using the telephone.
I stirred and rubbed my eyes. Audrey suddenly glanced at me and smiled. She said goodbye to whoever she was talking to and put down the telephone.
"Good morning," she softly said.
I smiled and pulled her towards me. She laid down and rested her head on my chest.
"Good morning, who were you talking to?" I asked.
She sighed and replied, "The director. He told me I should be back tomorrow."
I frowned and stared at the beauty.
"Really? That's sad. Well, whether we like it or not, we have to leave."
She moved closer and planted a soft kiss on my lips.
"Don't worry, I still want to go back after the movie and besides, when we get home, we're going to rent a house," she said with a cute toothy grin.
I smiled and held her closer.
~~~~~~
Before going back to New York, we bid farewell to Aunt, Uncle, and Marcus first.
Audrey and I kept reassuring them that we will come back and call.
After that, we went back to the road again.
Same thing happened : talk, laugh, eat, and take pictures.
It was never boring whenever Audrey is with me.
It was like all new to me. Everything is just right.
I just really hope that she wouldn't get bored.
~~~~~~
The next day, we're finally back. At least we were able to find a motel last night. I can't imagine myself driving for the whole night again.
As of this moment, I don't feel like going back to my apartment just yet so I chose to stay at Audrey's.
I helped her with her things and with the breakfast.
We made pancakes, bacon and coffee. It was a simple dish, but it's enough and nice.
Audrey has to go to the set early and when I told her I'm going to wash the dishes, she became a giggling mess.
It was adorable.
"I'm going to help you James, I won't let you wash our dishes," she said.
I chuckled and said, "Audrey, the director needs you now."
"But Jimmy-"
"Baby, I'm going to wash the dishes, okay?"
Audrey pouted but smiled instanly.
"Fine then," she said.
I held her hand and pulled her towards me then kissed her.
She was tensed at first because of my sudden action yet she recovered quickly.
"Okay, you'll wash the dishes," she said while giggling.
~~~~~~
"Hi Elizabeth," I greeted the lady with short curly jet black hair.
She smiled and stood up from her chair.
"Hello James," she replied now hugging me.
I hugged back then we pulled away. We went to sit down across each other and ordered our foods.
"So, how are you and Audrey?" she asked with a grin.
I chuckled and happily said, "We're doing great."
"How lovely, I'm very happy for the both of you," Elizabeth replied.
"Thank you. I've never been so happy actually," I said.
Elizabeth let out a small laugh before saying, "So, you're helping your wifey find a house to rent?"
I felt my cheeks heat up when I heard the word 'wifey'. I cleared out my throat and shyly smiled.
"I guess so. She's really busy and I want to surprise and help her."
"You're very sweet to her. Anyways, I remembered renting this house but I never moved in. I was about to cancel the rent but then I remembered Audrey. She can have it. I'm going to give you the address."
My heart jumped in joy. I thank the heavens above that I have a close friend like Elizabeth.
I then exclaimed happily, "Thank you so much, Eli! You're an angel sent from above!"
Elizabeth started laughing while writing the address on a piece of paper.
So long as the paper was passed to me, our food came.
