I spun around in my office chair waiting for Frankie to get back with coffee from across the street. The new project was posters for a local band, they needed flyers that caught people's attention, and we were just the people.

"White snail - are they even any good?"
Frankie sat my coffee down.

"I was listening to them on YouTube earlier, it's like one of them pop indie punk bands"

"Not my style, I'm more of a hip hop guy"

"I like rock, alternative, grunge"
I smiled, twirling my pen.

Frankie sat down at his desk next to me.
"We need to hire that receptionist"

"What's the qualifications?"

"Has to respect art, has to know its core"
He fixed his watch

I sat my pen down.
"I think they should have to be able to draw just in case a customer needs a simple sketch done"

"Basic drawing skills okay"

"And at least 16 cause that's the legal working age"

I bit my lip.
"No, I actually think I got someone"

I pulled out my phone texting Brooke.
"Do you want a job?"

She texted back quite quickly.

-where at?

- come by interstellar graphic and designs , there hiring, your the only candidate.

-be there in fifteen.

I smiled over at Frankie.
"We got a interview"

"Who?"
He raised his eyebrow.

"Brooke, my best friends little sister, she went with me too a few art galleries and literally loved it, I think she would do real well here"

Fifteen minutes later, maybe a couple minutes later than fifteen, Brooke walked in glancing around at the brand new store.

"Hey, welcome to interstellar graphic and designs"
I extended my hand.

She shook it and tried to hold a straight face while I was in business mode.
"You want to be a receptionist? You'll be communicating with customers, making orders, giving out orders"

"Basic drawing skills, I've seen you draw so don't tell me"
I pointed, and Brooke only smiled.

"This is the desk, the computer with everything important on it, cash register here"
I moved my hands around the desk.

I've never give a job interview before, but I believe this was more of a 'I'll show you everything your hired' kind of thing.

Frankie walked from the back holding a large tshirt in his hand.
"This is our uniform, this shirt and Kakis"

Brooke nodded taking the shirt.
"We open at 8:30 close at 10:00, only time you'll leave is maybe to get coffee across the street, but we all do that"

"Besides Katie"
Frankie smirked.

"Uhh - were closed Wednesday's and Sunday's, just cause"

"Frankie goes to church"
I told her the real answer.

Brooke smiled.
"It looks fun here"

Frankie smiled and handed her the shirt, the same one we all wore, the black fabric and the white lettering that spelled out our store name and our phone number.

"Oh and wifi password is on the router"
He pointed towards the back.

I motioned Brooke to her desk in the front of the store.

"You'll get paid like 10 an hour, so you'll be able to you know, afford things"

She smiled and took a seat at her desk.
"So what do I do first?"

I bit my lip.
"Well, we have an order in process, when it's done it will be right here"

I pointed to a shelf
"The name and account number, and you will have them show a ticket, or a receipt of purchase, and then hand them there stuff"

She nodded.
"Okay"

"So look on your computer and see that Mike Daniels has a package currently being handled, that's us handling it, and when it's ready you'll change the status too done and then when he picks it up change it too received"

"And that's how we stay organized?"

"Yep"
I smiled.

I walked into the house hearing no sounds of anything. Everyone must be asleep or gone, which made me hopeful that Reagan was upstairs. I walked up, I faintly heard the ocean roaring to life, there must be a storm headed in. I creaked open my bedroom door seeing nobody in bed, but the darkness made me noticeably see the light to my studio on.
I quickly walked over and opened the door, with Reagan sitting at my desk looking at sketchbooks I had when I was younger.

"When you were thirteen you really liked drawing skulls and roses"
She smiled over at me.

"It was the toughest thing for me to draw back then"
I confessed, walking around my studio as I waited for her reaction to everything.

I tucked my hands in my pockets and stared at her, trying to understand her.

"Katie"
She bit her lip and stood facing me.

"I'm nineteen, I'm a young adult. And there's one very, very Important thing I need to ask you"

"Yeah?"
I felt my face heat up.

"This promise ring kept my heart warm the whole time I was gone, it kept my heart attached to yours, three months is a long time, I thought of you every second of everyday, and I need to know one thing - will you marry me?"

You know that feeling you get when your heart feels like it's stopped, your so over excited with joy and happiness you could scream, but you can't because your frozen in place.

"Yes"

"I will"
I repeated, feeling her arms wrap around my waist and pull me in for a hug.

She wiped a tear from her eye and pulled a small box from her pocket.
" with all the money I made on my tour I bought you this"

She slid a diamond ring on my ring finger and kissed my forehead.

"I love you so much"

"I love you too"
I gathered.

I leaned in an kissed her. My fiancé.
