(Ten years later)

I quickly locked the store up and waved goodbye to Alexis who jogged across the street to her car, the rain was pouring and hopefully everyone made it home safe. Brooke left an hour early to pick up Georgia and get home before the rain hit, since they drove further out than any of us.

"I'm on my way home"
I spoke quickly, calling my wife's phone.

"Momma!"
I heard elegance speak excitedly over the phone.

I smiled and got inside my car.
"Hey sweetheart, where is your momma?"

"Here"
I heard shuffling and then my wife's voice come over the phone.

"She was playing a game, and she seen your picture come on the screen"
Reagan laughed.

"I'm on my way home, the rain is heavy"
I turned my windshield wipers on faster, the rain sloshing off the glass

"I know, I'm making dinner, Frankie came and picked up credence earlier so we don't have two kids running around anymore, Leah sent a letter in the mail, I think there's a picture In there"

I smiled and drove the same way I did each night on my way home.
"What are you making?"

"Your favorite, lasagna"

I could almost smell it now.
"Sounds delicious, I can't wait"

"I'm going to get off the phone, the rain is getting heavy and I want to have both hands on the wheel"
A roll of thunder came above the car.

"Ten and twoooo"

"Smartass"
I laughed.

"Love you drive safe"

"Love you too"
I ended the call and tossed my phone in the passenger seat.

I pulled up at the house Reagan an I built for our family, outside of the city, up in the hills surrounded by forests.

I stared out of my windshield into the living room of the house, elegance was dancing around the room to a cartoon on the tv an I couldn't help but smile.

I got out quickly, pulling my backpack on my shoulder an running inside. The cold rain hitting the exposed part of my skin only made me run faster.

"Momma!"
Elegance ran to me, wrapping her arms around my legs.

"Hey baby girl"
I pulled her up into my arms.

She had golden brown hair like Reagan an bold beautiful blue eyes like the summer sky.

"I missed you today"
I kissed her cheek.

"I practiced my bike today"
She spoke freely on another subject.

"Did you ride it?"
I smiled, walking into the kitchen seeing Reagan.

"I rode it so fast"
I sat her down on the ground as she ran wild around the kitchen to the dining room.

"My wife"
I smiled, pulling her in for a deep kiss.

"I missed you today"

"I missed you too, how was work?"

"Frankie called in sick, and Brooke and I had to finish up two clients"

"How was your day?"
I leaned against the island while she cleaned the last counter top.

"Well I read to elegance for a little while, she took a nap, I have organized my book good enough to publish, and then credence came over to play"
