Pre-Note: Hey! Sorry I've been gone a few days. I forgot to tell you I was going camping this weekend :P Haha, but I'm back now!
Anthony:
A little before midnight, we made it to Vegas.
I had been here once, with my dad, a long time ago. I didn't remember much; all I could were lights, loud music, and a lot of cool buildings.
So, when we pulled into the city and drove slowly down the main street, inching forward at the speed of a snail due to traffic, I was fascianted by the sight. While I would usually be annoyed by all the cars and waiting, I didn't mind. There was enough to look at to keep me entertained.
We had the windows down, and I soaked in the cool summer breeze as I craned my neck around to see the MGM Grand, a.k.a. the second biggest hotel in the world and the coolest place in the whole city. No, we weren't staying there. I wish, but if we planned to get back home with any sort of money left, it wasn't really any option. And plus, it was probably all booked up months ago.
I turned to look at Ian, and smiled a little at his reaction. He told me on the way here that he's never been here, and didn't really know what to expect. I think his exact words were, "I just know there's a whole lot of casinos."
He was staring out the window, the biggest smile spread across his face. The blue, yellow, and red flashing lights from the building next to him reflected off his cheeks and eyes. He turned to me and smiled even wider, breathing something like "This is so fucking cool."
"Hey, you planned it," I stated, leaning forward to look at the sky through the windshield. Some of the hotels and other buildings were so tall they seemed to literally disappear into the sky. I felt like a little kid; so marveled by such things, but I didn't care. It was fucking sweet.
"Well, yeah, but you agreed," he argued.
I sat back up and shot him a glance. Then I found myself laughing. "Are we really arguing about who brought us here?"
He laughed also. "I think we are."
"This is gonna be one long summer," I joked, laughing.

It was nearly one a.m. when we finally reached our hotel, which was only a few blocks down from main street. It was just some crappy hotel, but hey, it was cheap, and we would only be staying two nights.
We checked in, and made our way to our room, on the second floor.
The room itself was small and cheap. Sort of gross, but not too bad. The only problem: there was only one bed.
I sighed, setting down my bag. "I'll take floor tonight if you will tomorrow."
He shrugged. "Alright."
I walked over to the window and looked out it. It wasn't a great view, but you could see some. Mostly tall buildings and about a million flashing lights, but it still beat our view from home by a mile.
Ian came over and stood next to me. "God, this is awesome."
"I know," I agreed. "So, what are we doing tomorrow?"
He shrugged. "What are some cool things to do in Vegas?"
"Hmm." I walked over and sat on the edge of the bed. "We're going to that casino next door at some point, that's all I know."
"Fine with me."
"I don't know. We'll figure it out in the morning. I'm tired."
I grabbed the comforter off the bed (it was really hot in here, he wouldn't need it) and made a sort of a nest on the floor next to the window. I mean, it wasn't great, but it would do.
After brushing my teeth and taking one final look out the window, I fell asleep, knowing I would dream of all the adventures we would have tomorrow.
A/N: Yay for short filler chapters :D I know I always say this, but I PROMISE next chapter is when it gets good. I swear on it :P Okay so yeah I haven't been to Vegas since I was seven or eight, so I don't remember much. But I did some research and this is what I got ^.^ I'm gonna try to stick to them going to places I've been (my family travels a lot, so I've been many places) so I don't totally mess up the descriptions of them haha. OKAY I'm rambling as usual. See ya latah c:
