Pre-Note: Wow, so much for updating regularly xD I suck, I know. I'm sorry :( I'm just gonna stop trying to make like a certain updating time, because I know I won't be able to stick to it haha. I've just been so busy lately when I'm usually not at all :P So yeah. Oh, and I know I'm a little late on the Fourth of July, but I think I wrote it then, so whatever. xD
Anthony:
I don't know if Ian planned for us to be in Philadephia for the Fourth of July, or if it was just some sort of coincidence, but either way, it was awesome.
We got there around four, had a late lunch/early dinner at this Italian restaurant, cheked into our hotel, did a little exploring around the city, and decided to find a good spot to see the fireworks before it got too busy, but damn, Philly has a lot of people, espeically on Independence Day.
And, I think we all know that I do NOT do well with large crowds. So, while we made our way down this street where we were told we would get a nice view, dodging walls upon walls of people, I clung to Ian for dear life, trying to imagine myself anywhere other than where I really was.
Some tall guy yelling into his cell phone ran straight into me, nearly knocking me over, and I grabbed Ian's arm, and realized I must have been squeezing pretty tight to try to keep it from shaking, because I looked over to see his flesh tinted red.
"Sorry," I muttered, letting go.
"You okay?" he asked, looking up at me.
"Yeah," I accidentally whispered; I always lost my voice when my anxiety was really bad.
"No, you're not," he said, grabbing my arm.
Without another word, he spun me around and we headed back the way we came, weaving between even more people than before.
"Ian, seriously, I'm-"
"Shh, I have an idea."
*
He dragged me all the way back to the hotel, despite my constant protests that I was fine and we weren't gonna miss the fireworks because of me.
We got in the elevator, and I gave him a confused look when he pressed the button for the top floor instead of the fifth, which our room was on.
"What are you-"
"I have a plan," he interrupted me.
"Well, can you at least tell me?" I asked, happy to be away from all the people but annoyed that he wouldn't tell me.
"Just shut up and follow me," he demanded, walking out of the open elevator doors.
He led me down an empty hallway of hotel rooms, deserted most likely due to the fireworks that were about to start down the street. He stopped at the end and looked both ways, then opened a door labeled STAFF ONLY and gestured for me to get in.
"What the hell, Ian?!" I said as he shoved my through the doorway then shut it behind him. We were on a platform outside, with a metal staircase to our left. I looked down and shuddered a little, because we were really high above the ground. He didn't answer; only started climbing the staircase. And I followed, as scared as I was because I knew we weren't supposed to be here.
The staircase ended on the roof of the building.
"Are you kidding?!" I nearly yelled.
"Shh, do you want us to get caught?"
"Exactly. We're not supposed to be here."
"Oh, chill out. Everyone's at the fireworks. We'll be fine. Just lighten up, okay?"
He patted me on the back before walking almost right up to the edge and sitting down.
I followed him and sat down next to him. I guess he was right; I should lighten up. No one would find us. And, besides, this was a great view. We got a perfect opening between buildings and trees to where the fireworks would start any second, and it was a million times more peaceful than the mobs of people on the streets below us.
"See, I told you I had a plan," he said smirking.
"If we get caught, I'm blaming you."

A few minutes later, the first firework shot off, displaying a pattern of flashing red colors into the perfectly still dark sky in front of us. I smiled as a blue one exploded right next to it, and listened to the people cheer on the street below.
"Best view in town," Ian remarked, completely full of himself.
And as much as I hated to admit it, it was the best view in town. It was absolutely gorgeous. The display erupted right in front of our eyes, painting the whole sky a portrait of flashing colors and explosions. I hadn't seen fireworks in a while, and I really forgot how cool they were.
I looked over at Ian, and was a little surprised when I caught him staring right at me, his pale cheeks reflecting the colors of the fireworks dancing in the sky.
"Hmm?" I questioned, looking back at him.
"Anthony," he whispered, staring deep into my eyes.
"What?"
"I..." he trailed off, a bead of sweat glistening off his forehead.
I raised my eyebrows at him, as if asking "what," but he just swallowed hard, staring back at me. What was he doing...?
"I..." he looked down and shook his head. "Never mind."
"No, what is it?" I urged on, sitting up and crossing my legs.
"Really, it-it's nothing." He waved his hand dissmissively, staring at the black concrete of the roof below us.
"Are you sure? 'Cause you know you can tell me anything."
"I know I can." He shook his head and looked back up at the fireworks. "Seriously, it's no big deal. Let's just enjoy the view."
So, with that, the conversation ended. And I couldn't get the thought out of my head. What was he going to tell me? Whatever it was, it looked pretty serious. The way he was sweating, and his eyes were wide, his face was pale... something was wrong. And I would find out.
But, for now, I wasn't gonna ruin the moment.
A/N: So yeah. Hmm... Idk what to say ._. So... I guess, how are you liking this? I hope it's starting to get kinda interesting :) Gimme some feedback in the comments pleeeease! See ya latah c:
