Pre-Note: Hello! It's Monday, which means I should be able to start updating pretty regularly again! For this week at least. I'm leaving AGAIN this weekend, and at the end of the month I leave for camp and then vacation for two weeks :( But I'll tell you more about that when the time comes haha. So yeah! Hope you like this chapter! It was fun to write because it's based off of personal experiences :D
Ian:
Anthony and I had always loved roller coasters.
We had been to Six Flags and other local amusement parks hundreds of times, but, after a while, they got boring. So, when I heard about this place in our next stop, Sandusky, Cedar Point, advertised as the greatest amusement park in the world, needless to say, I made sure we would make a stop there.
The park was huge. After buying our tickets and entering the main area, we stopped in our tracks, trying to decide where to go first. There were so many options... where to start?
"That green one looks kinda fun," Anthony suggested, pointing straight ahead.
I looked at it and shrugged. "Sure."
Upon further examination, we observed the ride was titled The Raptor. It wasn't too long and didn't look too scary, so a nice warm-up ride, I guess.
The line wasn't too long either, probably because we were smart enough to get there right when the park opened. So, after only fifteen minutes, we were loaded in the very front row, getting the normal message over the loudspeaker about keeping your arms and legs in, put your personal belongings in the box, blah blah blah.
The coolest thing about the ride was that you were hanging. Like, there was a row of four seats, and your legs hung out the bottom of them.
Then, the ride started, and I smiled as we slowly made our way up a hill that was pretty big but not huge, and glanced over at Anthony who was also smiling and kicking his feet back and forth. Then, we reached the top, and since we were in the very first row, I couldn't help but feel a little nervous as we plummeted over the top, going almost straight down, knocking the wind right out of me. Then, we both screamed a little as we went over the first loop, our feet sticking straight out in front of us, and then a few more, and then another little hill, and it was over.
Definitely not the scariest ride ever, but it was pretty fun.

After going on a few more rides, The Corkscrew, The Blue Streak, and The Mantis (which, for the record, had to be my personal favorite so far. You stood up, on a bicycle seat. It was so fun, but gave your balls a good workout), all of which were fun, but not too scary, we decided it was time.
Time for one of the tallest coasters in the world and what I've heard to be "the best ride."
The Top Thrill Dragster.
Now, just listen to this. You sit down in the car, which holds like, thirty people, and it takes so long to go over the safety precautions that you just sit there for like, five minutes. And then they do a stoplight countdown, and when the light turns green, you shoot off, reaching a speed of 120 mph in less than four seconds. And then, still going that fast, you shoot up a 420-foot hill, all while performing a 90-degree twist, and then just stop at the very top. And then, after a few seconds of suspense, you fall straight back down the other side, all while twisting 270 degrees. The whole process takes less than twenty seconds.
The line was unbelieveably long. It had to be a good two and a half hours (all while during that time, the ride got stuck three times), but we weren't giving up. And it was a good thing we didn't, because before I knew it, we were sitting in the middle of the very front car, listening to some dude go over all the millions of safety hazards.
