Chapter 7~"christams"

       Saturday, December, 25th        9:28am.
Christmas morning. My mom was able to get out of the hospital, finally. I stayed at moms last night to spend time with her, my aunt and my uncle. I was able to sleep in my old bedroom which was nice.

I slowly make my way out of the bed and get dressed. I put on an ugly Christmas sweater and some black yoga pants. My stomach sticks out a lot more so my shirt doesn't cover my entire stomach. I walk downstairs and see that everyone is in the dining room.
"Good morning" I say and I take a seat in the empty chair. The tables pretty big so everyone's near the end. Me, my mom, and my uncle talk for awhile until my aunt comes out with breakfast. We all grab eggs, bacon, ham, and toast.
"Madeline, can I ask you something?" My aunt says as she eats her toast.
"Sure.." I say quietly. As my mom and my uncle are talking my aunt decides to ask how I got pregnant.
"It's a long story." Is all I say and we go back to talking like a normal family.
"Let's open gifts!" My mom says happily as we all clean up are plates and bring them to the kitchen.

We all sit in the living room on the floor around the Christmas tree. We open are gifts my mom keeps making jokes about me when I was younger.
"Have you thought of a name?" My uncle asks smiling.
"Kaiden, it's a boy." We both smile.

7:30pm.
We all decided to go for a walk before it gets it to be pitch black out. We walk past the ice rink and I see a father teaching his child to skate. I keep a smile on my face.
"Who wants hot chocolate?" Someone yells with a happy voice where there's a brick building across from the ice rink.
"We do!" My mom says and she runs over. As I'm walking I slip on a patch of ice. I start to laugh.
"Hear let me help you up" Ron says. I look up at him and laugh again.
"Ron! What are you doing here?" He's wearing a thick black coat and a red hat and has skates in his left hand.
"Me and justice are going skating, as well as my family. Wanna join us?" My mom signals me to come over to her.
"One second! Well I totally would but I don't have skates." Justice comes over and bands a pair of mitts to Ron.
"Maybe next time, see ya around!" He says as justice pulls him away. I walk over to where my mom is and grab hot chocolate.
"Madeline?" I hear a familiar voice say. I look at the guy that is serving the hot chocolate. It's Brent.
"Brent, hey!" I hold my hot chocolate with both hands. We start to talk for awhile.
"Hey you should come over on years eve. There will only be a few people there." I give him my number and tell him I'll be there.

We continue our walk. The street lights make the snow glisten. We walk past people singing Christmas carols and a band playing with them. We see people walking over and join in on the singing.
"Come on we can use more people to help us!" A young lady says and we sing along with the others. I see Brent again. I walk over to him.
"What are you doing here? Following me?" I say jokingly. We both start to sing along.

11:58am, Sunday.
I wake up in my old room at my moms, wondering where I am. I look at my phone to check the time. I walk down the stairs and into the living room. I see my uncle and my aunt. I yawn loudly.
"Where's mom?" I ask as I sit down.
"She's in the washroom I believe." My uncle smiles. We chat and mom enter are conversation.
"Young lady, your getting huge!" My mom says laughing. I lift up the black shirt to reveal my stomach. There's lots of noticeable veins, and you can see the baby moving around in the left.
"Can I-" my aunt gets up and points say my stomach.
"You'll be a good mother." My aunt says as she sits down. I pull my shirt down.
"We should go out to eat! Madeline do you want to invite anyone to come with us?" My mom says. I pull out my phone and text Brent. We get our shoes on and get in the car. My uncle drives.
"Wow, this crap hold came In handy." We all laugh.

       We get to the restaurant and sit at a 6 person table. I leave a sit empty beside me for Brent. As he sees me he comes and sits down. We talk about what we did on Christmas and the traditions that we have. As we're talking I look around the restaurant and see the Christmas tree and some santa decorations. We ordered our lunch and now we are just talking and waiting. I feel the baby move around once again.
"Hey, hey, Brent." I say whispering in his ear.
"Wanna hang out after this?" I say quietly and he laughs.

                 5:00,Wednesday.
        Me, Brent, Ron, and justice are at a beach watching fireworks. Brent sits beside me ok my right and justice is on my left. I hold my knees and look at all the colors in the sky. Ron gets up and signals justice to come with him. I just stare at them. Ron rolls up his pant leg and goes into the water.
"Are you insane?" Justice says laughing. I smile. Justice runs in with Ron. Fireworks keep lighting up the sky. I look back down at Ron and justice and see them fall in the water.
Brent looks at me and smiles.
"What?" I say letting out a small laugh. He puts his hand over my ear and pulls me closer. As we kiss I hear Ron screaming in the background. He pulls away to take a breath and comes back immediately.
"since when were you guys dating!" I can't tell if Ron of justice yelled.
"I didn't know till just now!" I yell back. The sky starts to get darker. Ron and justice run like idiots out of the water and back to us.
"We didn't bring towels" I say looking up to Ron.
