                   Friday, 7:35pm.
    His face flushes red.
"Answer me!" I yell louder, he slides down to the ground.
"I'm sorry..." He says quietly.
"It was you" he looks up at me. His eyes are puffy and red.
"Why, Why would you do this?" We don't lose eye contact.
"Mad-Madeline...sit down" he starts to stutter. I listen and sit in front of him.
"Your dad, he found this abandoned park...he called me- we worked together at the time- he started telling me things that happened in your child hood and how you haven't been happy. So he decided that you're going to wake up in this park, weird things would happen, you'd end up in the room and then we'd-" he stops and starts to rock back and forth.
"So he hired you?" I ask with annoyance.
"Ye-yes. I'm sorry, I wouldn't have done anything. I was being pushed around and just did it anyways, I regret everything I did. I'm so sorry." His eyes start to well up.
"Why did you decide to stay with me?" Why would anyone want to stay with me?
"I was thinking: after the night it happened that you had the chance of getting pregnant, I couldn't leave you alone with a baby. To take care of a child there needs to be two parents, not one." He stops to take a deep breathe.
"Once we started hanging out and I got to know you, I fell in love and that's when I really knew I couldn't leave you." He starts crying. I sit beside him.
"I wouldn't be able to do this alone, thank you...I love you." I try to speak softly and slow. He kisses me.

Saturday, 1:20pm.
I get to the hospital, doctors running around, two people at the check in, the waiting room half filled just to get blood work done, and people rushing to get to their families. Hospitals are crazy. Kaiden sits with Brent as I wait for a nurse to call me in.
"Everything's going to be okay." I stand up and face Brent.
"No, I know. I'm just hoping I won't have to stay here over night again."
"Madeline-" I look over at the nurse. I walk over and she apologizes for not saying my last name since she couldn't pronounce it.
"You shouldn't have to do any more blood work after this...well for awhile at least." The nurse laughs a little. I just stare at the needle in my arm.
"We'll call you in the evening and tell you how everything is."
"Okay, thanks." I stand up and walk out of the room. Brent stands up and he sees me come out.
"Hey." I take Kaiden. We walk out of the hospital and to the car.
"So I got a call last night,"
"From who?" I ask quickly.
"It was the hospital. They called around twelve." He doesn't seem worried.
"Okay..."
"They ran tests on your mom, she had three kinds of drugs in her system and alcohol." He looks to me.
"I'm not surprised." Is all I say.
"She wants us to see her."
"No!" I just stare the cracks in the pavement.
"Mad, we'll have to see her at some point." He looks to me with a semi- worried looked.
"Why should I see her?" My voice gets louder. He doesn't say anything.

5:45pm.
What's going on inside my head? Am I going crazy? These thoughts haunt me at night, morning, afternoon.
"Hey.." Brent says quietly as he watches me cut up fruit for Kaiden.
"Hi" is all I say. He comes up and wraps his arms around my waist. I rest my head against his.
"I'm sorry." His voice is soft, calming.
"It's okay, I'm sorry too." Kaiden starts to hit the tray on his high chair. I give him the cut up strawberries and Mango.
"Do you want me to cook dinner?" I go to hug.
"You don't have to...I'll do it, just give me ten minutes." I say slowly. He can hear the tension in my voice.
"No." I look up at him, but not letting go.
"What?"
"You're not cooking tonight, I will now go take a shower or just take some time to yourself." He's just trying to get rid of you. I ignore the voice in my head.

After my shower I walk down to the kitchen and Brent pasta with tomato sauce.
"It looks so good." He puts a serving onto a plate and hands it to me.
"Where's Kaiden?" I ask looking around.
"In the living room."

Monday, 2:26am.
(One month time skip)
I wake up feeling sweat pool on my forehead, I sit up and can't calm down.
The random thoughts I've been having stopped, the doctor did say I may experience depression for a little while.
I get up and feel a cool breeze on my legs. Shorts really don't help when you're cold. I walk in to the bathroom and splash water on my face. I hear a loud bang outside. I walk over to the window, I close it and lock it.
"Hey, come back to bed." I see Brent in the doorway. A sense of relief feels my body.
"Okay-" I stop. I look out the window once more. I walk into the bedroom and lye down beside him. He kisses me slowly, he starts to kiss me harder.

I wake up and check to see if Brent's beside me. It was just a dream. Am I drowning in sweat? It was just a stupid dream.
