Chapter 21~"the hospital"

      Tuesday, 3:47pm.
        Yesterday we went to an art museum, a park, an ice cream shop, the movies, we also went on a hike, and rented a couple of bikes. Now we're just in the car driving and deciding where to go.
"When's the last time we ate?" I ask, I'm sitting in the front this time and Brent's driving.
"An hour ago." Parker says annoyed. We start talking about things that need to happen before this trip is over and things we need to buy since the supply is running short.
"Brent...Brent!" Arianna says loudly. I look to the road and he continues talking to Parker.
"Brent!" He looks, the cars light shine into our eyes and he loses control and swerves off the road. About a minute the car runs into the side.
"Go...get out!" I hear Arianna faintly say. I start to lose my vision and forget what happened.

     I feel my body get picked up and layed back down, I hear people crying, and people screaming, I smell the smoke from a fire. What is going on?

    I wake up in a hospital bed, I look around. The rooms bigger, there's people beside me but I can't see them with the curtains in the way, everything seems calm, and simple. All I remember is a bright light, loud noises, and the feeling of being close to death. My visions blurry, I see the wires and the heart monitor beside me, I lye down completely flat not knowing if I can move. Everything feels fake, it feels like everything's still, it's almost like time stopped. After what feels like ten hours a lady walks up to me.
"Are you feeling okay?" I look toward her. Do you really think I'm okay?
"Madeline?"
"What?" I ask annoyed.
"Do you need anything?"
"My son." As I say that I feel a sharp pain in my stomach, I jump a little.
"I will be back in about ten minutes then we need to run an ultrasound." She says looking at the heart monitor.
"Who told you?" I ask confused.
"Arianna, she was worried about you." The nurse starts to walk away.
"Where is she? Where is everyone else?" I try to sit up. She turns around.
"Arianna's is next door, just behind this curtain, and her daughters with her. Parker, Brent and Ron are in the room next door."
"Where's Justice? And Rosely? Where's Kaiden?" She walks over to me again.
"Where's Kaiden!" I yell, not caring about who will hear me.
"Where's my son!" I yell louder, she backs up.
"I will be back, stay calm." All I want is my son.
"Madeline." I hear quietly.
"I know where Kaiden is, I'll tell you later." It's Arianna. Is she okay? What happened to everyone else?

         I lye on the bed and the nurse puts the blue jell on my stomach, I'm not showing at all. She turns on the screen and I stare at it. She looks nervous.
"Is everything okay?" I ask softly.
"You know you're pregnant right?" She doesn't look at me.
"Yeah, I took a test a couple of days ago." We make eye contact. She keeps running the small scanner over my stomach.
"I'm not sure how healthy your baby will be, next week we'll run another ultrasound." She turns off the screen and puts away the scanner, then cleans up my stomach.
"One and a half weeks." She says. She walks to the door signalling for me to go out. She walks me back to room that I was in before. I stop when I see Brent through the window.
"It's almost lunch time, you can go in for twenty minutes." She walks away. I go into the room trying to be quiet.
"Mad...?" I see Parker first. He has a needle in his hand, he's hooked up to the heart monitor, he has a cast on his left arm, and a cast on his left leg.
"Are you okay?" I ask walking up to him.
"Just broke some bones, don't know where my daughter or my girlfriend is...." He's annoyed, and worried.
"Annabelle's with Arianna, they're next door." He nods.
"Where's Brent?" I ask quietly. It's almost dead silent. Parker points forward, I turn around and I see him. I walk over and he opens his eyes.
"Baby-" he says faintly. I put my hand on his shoulder. He looks pale, a cast on his right hand, a needle in his left hand and a needle in his arm. A nurse comes over. She has bright pick eye shadow on, red lipstick, and dark foundation, and she's pale.
"You two are together right?" He asks quietly. I nod.
"Listen, he'll be okay. You'll only have to worry about Kaiden." What's going on with Kaiden? She puts her hand on my shoulder.
"Arianna's going to take me to him."she laughs.
"I told her that I have to come or its to suspicious. All the doctors on this floor know what happened." We talk, I miss Brent and tell him I'll be back. We walk to the room I'm staying in, the nurse unhooks all the wires that are attached to her.
"Bring Annabelle to packers room. I'm glad she didn't get hurt, just some bruises." The nurse says. We walk down the main hall of the hospital, past a small coffee shop. We stop at the main desk, she looks for his name and room. She leads us up set of stairs. She smiles at doctors and says hello. We go into a room and she buzzes us in.
"Turn right, you'll find him. I'll be over here." She walks away. Me and Arianna look in different rooms until we see him. I open the door.
"Kaiden, oh sweetie." He's lost all of his colour, he looks so sick. He's hooked up to the heart monitor and IV.
"Mommy....can you stay with me?" His eyes widen.
"I'll stay as long as I can." I pull up a chair beside his bed.
"Mommy, am I really a boy?" I guess this is all that has been on his mind.
"You were just born in a boy's body, but that does not define you." He smiles.
"Where's Ron, Justice and Rosely?" Arianna asks.
