Serena's POV

I nearly fell over when I saw Kelsey.

She looked horrible. She had bags under her eyes, she wasn't wearing any makeup and her hair was thrown back into a messy bun. She wore sweats and a baggy t-shirt that did nothing for her slim figure.

"Kelsey..." I whispered as I stared at her. I grabbed her and pulled her in for a hug.

When she pulled back, she smiled a shy smile. "Hi, your mom told me you were back."

I smiled. "Ya, only for a while though. Then I have to go back."

Kelsey's smile faded. "Where were you anyways? Why do you have to go back?"

"Why don't you come inside?" I stepped aside to let her in.

Kelsey came in and I followed her back to the kitchen. She froze in the doorway, causing me to bump into her.

I noticed she was staring at Hunter. I squeezed past her and stood beside Hunter. Kelsey was staring at Hunter in awe. "Hunter this is my best friend, Kelsey. Kelsey, this is Hunter, my boyfriend."

Kelsey stared at me. "Your boyfriend? But what about Cam?"

I looked at Hunter as he stared back at me. "I'm going to have to break up with him. We can't be together anymore."

Hunter spoke for the first time since I brought Kelsey in. "Who's Cam?"

"I was dating him when you took me." I contemplated having Kelsey text him to come over.

"About Cam, I already texted him earlier. He should be-" Kelsey was interrupted by a knock atthe door.

"I'll get it." I moved away Hunter and went to answer the door.

I opened the door to find, none other, then Cam. He looked worse then Kelsey. His eyes were red and puffy, and he had big black bags under his eyes. His face looked sunken like he hadn't eaten in the time I was gone. His clothes we wrinkled and looked like he slept in them.

"Serena!" He picked me up and spun me around. "Oh, I've missed you," he whispered in my ear. When he put me back down on the ground, he kissed me. I tasted something strong and bitter on his lips.

I pushed him away. I didn't feel the sparks I felt when I used to kiss him, or the sparks I feel when I kiss Hunter.

He frowned, a shadow of hurt passed over his face. "What's wrong?" He grabbed my hand the way he used to when I was upset.

I didn't answer. Still holding his hand, led him inside to the kitchen. My mom said she'd run to the store to get more snacks for us.

I let go of his hand and went to stand beside Hunter. I hooked my arm through his and took a deep breath.

"Cam, this is Hunter, my boyfriend." I waited, expecting Cam to yell or scream.

All he did was stare at Hunter. After what felt like hours of silence, he finally spoke. "Your boyfriend?" He sound hurt.

I moved towards Cam till I was standing in front of him. "Cam, I still love you. I'll always love you," I grabbed his hand, "but we can't be together anymore. I don't belong-"

He cut me off, by slapping me.

Kelsey gasped. I tasted blood from my cut lip. My cheek stung and tears flooded my eyes, more from sadness then pain.

"HAVE YOU BEEN CHEATING ON ME WITH-"

He was cut off from Hunter lunging at him. He knocked Cam to the ground and began punching him. Cam put his arms up to defend himself and that's when I realized.

Cam was drunk. That's what I tasted on his lips when we kissed me, that's why he yelled. And why hit me.
