Chapter 16

Hunter's POV

"I'm sorry, what?" I was surprised and confused.

"Tatiana is your fiancé and you are to marry her." Neptune said.

Before i could answer, a voice spoke behind him. "Hunter, what's wrong?" I turned to see Aquata standing in my bedroom, towel wrapped around her. By the looks of it, she had stripped of her bra.

"Hunter. What's the meaning of this?" Neptune looked from Aquata to me.

"Who's this?" Tatiana asked, looking from me to Neptune.

"Tatiana, this is my girlfriend, Aquata." I said, as I introduced the two girls.

"Girlfriend?" Tatiana asked.

"I'm as surprised as you are, Tatiana." Neptune glared at me.

"It just happened today." I put his arm around Aquata as she stepped forward, next to me.

"I see. Aquata, go get dressed and come back here." Neptune said, as he turned to Aquata.

"I'll be back." Aquata kissed me cheek and turned back towards the bathroom.

"When were you going to tell me?" Neptune said, as he walked past me into my room, Tatiana following.

"Soon, it's just now didn't seem like a very good time, since, you know, me and Serena."

"There's another girl?" Tatiana glared at me then Neptune.

"No, she is my ex-girlfriend." I turned my attention back to Neptune. "You know, it would have been nice to mention that you picked up some random fish to be my fiancé."

"Fish? You're a fish, too, you know!" That was the last thing Tatiana said before she stormed out.

"Tatiana!" Neptune went after her.

Aquata came back in. "So, when were you gonna tell me you were engaged?"

Serena's POV

I was lying in bed reading The Mermaid Beginning when there was a knock at the door. I dog eared the page I was on, left it on the bed and got up and went to open the door. I opened it to come face to face with Aqurissa. "Aqurissa, can I help you?"

"Yes, Neptune would like to see you in his room. Follow me." Follow me, Aqurissa had said that when they first met. It brought back memories of first meeting Neptune.

"Do you know why he wants to see me?" I asked, as we walked down the hall, opposite to the way we came when I first got my room.

"No, all he said was it was important." She looked back.

"Oh," it was silence all the way to his room.

The doors to his room were nothing like mine and Hunter's and everyone else's. They were bigger, more elegant and was covered in more hieroglyphics than anyone else's. They were an emerald green, like mine. Aqurissa knocked and the doors opened. She ushered me inside and shut the door.

The room was about three times bigger then my room. It was brightly lit by two large windows on either side of the bed. The bed was in the middle of the wall to my left. There was a large desk and dresser on on the far wall. On top of the dresser was a picture of Neptune when he was younger and a familiar woman holding a baby. To my right, was a door, two white chairs, a white couch and a glass table.

I walked to the dresser and looked at the picture. It turned out it was of Neptune and my mom. "I loved your mother very much. I never wanted to leave but I had to." I turned and saw Neptune standing in front of the second door.

"I know. Aqurissa told me." I straightened, put the picture back and turned to face Neptune. "She said you wanted to see me. She told me you said it was important."

Neptune cleared his throat. "Yes, come sit." He gestured to the couch and chairs.

I sat down in one of the chairs.

"I know about you and Hunter." He sat on the couch very professionally. "Hunter admitted it himself the other day."

I looked down at my hands. "I-" I stopped abruptly remembering what Hunter said, 'We can't be in the same room together.' "I'm sorry. I never knew you didn't approve of it." I looked up.

Neptune nodded. "Yes, so to prevent any further romances between you and Hunter, there is someone I want you to meet. Jake, you can come in now."

I turned toward the door to see a tall boy, a little older than me walk in. He had shaggy black hair and sea green eyes. He smiled at me. He was good looking too.

I looked at Neptune but he already was standing and walking towards Jake. "Jake, this is Serena, my daughter."

"It's nice to meet you." He stood beside me, hand out to shake.

"Um, hi." I shook his hand. His hand was soft. "Who are you?"

Neptune stepped forward and said, "This is Jake. He is your fiancé."
