I moaned as I was slowly becoming conscious.
Where am I? I thought as I looked around at my surroundings.
I was in a very simple and small room. The walls were white and one window to my right that overlooked the ocean. I was laying in a bed with white sheets. There was a single desk with only paper and a pencil on it and a chair tucked under it. There was a book shelf on the opposite wall to me.
I jumped at the sound of a knock at the door.
"C-come in," I stuttered. I'm screwed.
"Good, you're up," said the woman who came in. She was very small, she looked about her mid 30s. She had blonde hair like mine. Her eyes were an incredible cyan blue. Hey just like that kid Hunter, I thought as I stared at the woman.
"Where am I? Who are you?"
"You are in Atlantis, and I'm Aqurissa," said the woman.
"Wait, Atlantis?? That can't be.... We aren't underwater."
"We are in the higher part of Atlantis that is above water. Now, I have come to get you ready for your meeting with Neptune."
"Who's Neptune? How long was I unconscious?"
"You will find out soon." It took a moment for her to answer the last question. "Two days"
"Two days?!" I said with a surprised look on my face.
"Now, put this dress on," Aqurissa said, as she handed me a beautiful silk dress. It was a very light blue. When I noticed a changing screen in the corner, I went behind and changed into it.
The dress went down to my ankles. It fits perfectly! I thought as I walked to the middle of the room and twirled around in it. She handed me white flats to put on.
"Now follow me," said Aqurissa as she exited the room with me following close behind.
The hallways were nothing like my room. The floors sloped like a ramp. The walls were gold and sky blue with weird letters all over the walls. What are those weird letters? I thought as I stared at them.
"Those are called hieroglyphics," said Aqurissa like she was reading my mind.
"Did you-?"
"Just read your mind? Yes."
"What?? How??"
"You will find out soon enough."
We had finally arrived at the end of the hallway where there were giant doors. The handles were mermaids.
"Wait here please," said Aqurissa said as she knocked and the giant doors opened slightly and she slipped in.
I was able to sneak a peek in the giant room. It was like the halls, gold and blue. I saw a man, about the same age as my mom, sitting in a gold throne. He was holding what looked like a pitch fork.
Mom, I thought as my eyes watered. I hope she is ok.
I waited for what seemed like forever. I am not a very patient person. Finally, Aqurissa came out.
"You can come in now," she said.
As I entered, I gasped. The room was bigger than I thought. On the wall opposite to me, there was a glass wall that covered the entire wall, with all kinds of sea life swimming behind it. On the wall to my left was another set of doors, these ones not as big as the ones I just came through. I wonder where those doors lead to? I thought as I stared at them in wonder and curiosity. On the wall to my right had pictures covering it with what looked like...mermaids??
My eyes then wandered over to the man sitting in the large gold throne.
"Hello, Serena, you've grown so much since the last time I saw you." He smiled a small smile. "You look just like your mother," said the man, his voice slightly familiar.
"Um, hi. Do I know you?" I asked curiously, slowly walking towards the strange man.
"I am Neptune, although you might know me, personally, as your father," said the man.
