The Mermaid Life

Chapter 2

We are perfect for each other, I thought as I was staring up at my boyfriend, Cam's sea green eyes, with his arm around my shoulders. There was few minutes before class starts and we were just hanging around talking with Kelsey.

He has a dirty blonde hair. Today he was wearing navy blue jeans with a black t-shirt. You can see how muscular he is just by looking at his arms. The sleeves of his t-shirt are very tight against his ams, along with his chest.

"What?" Cam asked smiling, staring back down at me, making me melt in his arms.

"Nothing," I said just smiling back up at him. I went up on my tipy toes and kissed him. He bends over and kisses me back.

"Eww. Get a room," said Brian walking over, putting an arm over Kelsey's shoulder.

I broke the kiss apart and winked at Kelsey making her blush.

Brian was about the same size as Cam, 5 foot 8 inches. Brian had black hair and his eyes were a dark brown. He wore a white t-shirt with DC written on it in black. He wore a dark pair of jeans with DC shoes. Somebody likes DC.

Cam gave him the finger. Kelsey and I laughed. We have know each other since JK. I only just met Cam and Brian in grade 9.

When we heard the bell ring, I kissed Cam goodbye and I booked it for English. I don't want to be late again, I thought coming to a walk at the classroom. Luckily I wasn't late.

"Everyone take you seats we have a new student joining," said my teacher Miss. V. as I took my seat. No one could pronounce her name so we called her Miss. V.

Then, the new kid walked in and I froze. He's hot, I thought. He had dirty blond hair and cyan blue eyes that were a shade brighter then mine. He was very fit and muscular, like he played sports and worked out.

We looked straight at each other and I quickly looked away. He came over and sat in the empty seat beside me.

"Hi," he said, his voice like an angels to my ears.

"Hi, I'm Serena," I said trying to sound confident.

"I know," and with that he turned his attention back to the teacher.

I was super confused on how he knew my name already. "Can I least get your name?"

"Hunter." He didn't even look at me!

After class, I ran up to Hunter. "How did you know my name?" I stepped in front him and put my hands in my hip.

"I just know everything. I know you love the water, you live with your mom and that your dad left when you were young." He leaned down and whispered in my ear. "I also know you think I'm hot." He straightened up and walked away.

I was staring after him when Kelsey walk up behind me. "What's wrong?"

I turned my attention back to her. "Nothing. Come on, let's go to class."

I was at my locker before lunch and Hunter came up to me. He leaned against the locker beside mine and started talking like he was finishing a conversation. "I also know you didn't stop sleeping with your blankie till you were 7 years old." He smirked.

I slammed my locker door shut. "Will you be quiet!? How do you know everything about me? Are you some kind of stalker?" Kelsey is the only one who knows about my childhood blanket.

"Nope. Just a person that, like I said before, knows everything." He smiled one last time and walked away.

After lunch I went to my period 4 class. I walked in to see Hunter sitting on a desk, girls surrounding him, flirting and laughing.

I rolled my eyes and took my seat beside him. Great, I'm beside him again, I thought as I took out my books.

"What? Don't like being beside the hottest guy in school?" He smirked at me again.

I just stared at him. I hadn't said that out loud, had I? I smiled my best sarcastic smile. "You're far from the hottest guy in school."

"Ha! You didn't think that this morning."

I opened my mouth to say another sarcastic comment, when I was interrupted by my teacher, Mr. Marriott. "Alright class, pop quiz today." He held up the quizzes.

Everyone groaned. I hated pop quizzes.

The rest of the day was over in no time. Kelsey and I had to cancel our swimming date because Brian asked her out. I told to her to go, and we can do a rain check.
