I didn't get to go to the homecoming game or dance. Not that I really wanted to. And I've been avoiding Kyle ever since I got home.

Now I'm going back to school but Anthony will be taking me.

I finished getting ready and walked downstairs. My mom was actually here in the kitchen.

"Mom what are you doing here"?

"I don't have to be into work until 12 today meaning I'll be home late".

"Oh well Anthony will be here soon to pick me up".

"Anthony. You mean little Ant".

I nodded. "Yes mom I already told you this".

"He better come inside to see me". She said fixing Hope a plate with eggs on it.

"He will I know he will".

I sat at the table with Hope and Eric and Kyle came downstairs.

"Good morning boys". My mom said

"Morning Faith". They said.

Eric came over. "Morning Hope and Heaven".

"Morning Eric". I smiled.

"Hi Eric". Hope said stuffing her face.

"Morning little princess". Kyle said.

"Hi".

"Good morning Heaven".

I rolled my eyes and got up from the table and walked passed him.

"Heaven what's wrong with you"? My mom asked

"Nothing mom". I looked at Kyle who looked hurt. "Nothing at all".

The doorbell rung.

"That must be Anthony". I smiled and went over and opened the door.

He was smiling.

"Good morning Kitty". He hugged me.

"Morning. Come in. My mom wants to see you".

I pulled him in the house. I closed the door And we walked in the kitchen.

"Oh my goodness Anthony come here and give me a hug". My mom said.

He went over and hugged her.

"Boy you grew up".

"I know". He chuckled.

"You better tell your mother to call me or we going to have a problem".

"Yes ma'am I will".

Eric cleared his throat. I looked at him and sighed.

"Ant this is my stepbrother Eric. Eric this is my bestfriend Anthony".

The shook hands. "Nice to meet you". Ant said.

"You too".

I was about to walk out with Ant when my mom stopped me.

"Heaven I don't know what's wrong between you and Kyle but don't be rude". She whispered in my ear.

I rolled my eyes. Man if only she knew then she wouldn't be acting this way.

I grabbed Anthony's hand and we walked out of the kitchen. And then out the house.

"Man Kyle looked as if he wanted to kill me".

I laughed. "He shouldn't be its his fault that we broke up".
