BRIDGET'S POV
Nicolette was yelling at me... Doesn't surprise me. "Bridget!" She was furious.
"What are you looking at me for? I didn't do it!" I laughed. She accuses me for everything!
"Bridget. Get me out of here. Now," she said each word slowly and clear.
I just couldn't stop laughing. "Okay... Maybe I did. I wouldn't fall asleep when I'm around," I smirked at her. "Oh, and by the way you missed Grace almost drowning. I'm gonna go for a quick dip. See you in a few!"
"BRIDGET! Wait! Hello? I'm still stuck here!" She yelled as I ran down the beach. That's what you get for falling asleep... I'm sneaky.
By the way, I buried her in the sand.
Completely. The only thing you can see is her head. Good thing she's not by the waves. I know someone will get her out at some point-probably Jason.
I continued walking down the beach but stopped to look at the water in front of me. I loved the beach and everything about it.
"It's a beautiful sight isn't it?" A man next to me asked. He looked around my age and was pretty good looking if you ask me.
He was tall and had dirty-blonde hair with dark brown eyes. Muscular too and well built.
"Uh... Yeah, very pretty. Do you live here?" What a stupid question. I'm asking him where he lives before I even know his name. He probably thinks I'm gonna stalk him now.
"No, sadly. Although it would be wonderful, I live in New York. Not as warm as here, but it'll do." He held out his hand to me."Kyle. And you are?"
"Bridget," I said shaking his hand. "New York? Me too! Well... I'm there for college."
He took the back of my hand and kissed it, making me blush. "It's a pleasure." I can't blush... I have a boyfriend! Curse you blushes.
Boy, this kid had manners and was good looking! I like him already! "Nice to meet you too."
"I just finished my last year of college. Now I'm taking some well-needed vacation time. Now what is a young and beautiful girl doing on the beach by herself?" He grinned.
"Oh, I'm not alone." I pointed behind me. "Up there are my friends and my boyfr-" I was cut off by a kiss on my cheek.
"Hey babe," Luke said. Perfect timing.
"Um. Luke, this is Kyle. He lives in New York too," I said way too fast.
"Hey man," Luke said shaking Kyle's hand. Before even giving Kyle a chance to reply, he turned toward me. "Babe, you have to come see what Jason is about to do. C'mon!" He said pulling me back up the beach.
"It was nice to meet you!" I yelled back at the lonely Kyle who looked disappointed. He waved a small wave and walked towards the water.
When we reached Jason, I saw four words written in the sand:
wιll yoυ мarry мe?
Then below the four words was a heart written in the sand and in the middle of the heart was an open box that held a wedding ring. It was gorgeous.
"Jason! This is beautiful! Congratulations!" I said hugging him.
"Don't congratulate me yet. She still has to say yes," he said, uneasy.
"Of course she will!" She would. If she didn't, I would slap her. "This is so romantic! How could she not? Speaking of Nic... Where is she?"
"Zach's getting her out of the sand. Who did that to her anyway?" He asked confused.
"I have no idea..." I chuckled. I ran over to help them before he could ask me anymore questions. It took us about five more minutes to get her out. I'm a good digger.
I stood Nicolette up and smiled. "Jason needs you over there for a minute," I pointed.
"Okay..." She said confused.
"Wait!" I wiped off all of the sand in her body and fixed her hair. "You may go."
"Uhh.." Before she could say anything else I pushed her forward to get her moving. I saw Luke pat him on the back and hug Nicolette before he came over to sit by Zach and me to watch.
"What are you guys looking at?" James asked behind me. Him and Grace were holding hands which made me smile more than I already was.
"You guys are just in time. Jason in about to propose to Nic! Can you believe it?" I said excited for my bestfriend.
"No. Freaking. Way," Grace said plopping next to me. Grace was the romantic one out of us three. She always dreamed of the perfect relationships and weddings when we were younger.
We watched as Nicolette got closer and closer to Jason and his beautiful words.
Jason got down on one knee and we were close enough where we could hear what they were saying. "Nicolette. I love you with all my heart and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I promise to love you unconditionally through thick and thin no matter what. You make me happy and I hope to do the same for you. So please make me the happiest man on Earth. Nic, will you marry me?" That was quite a speech for something right on the spot.
Nic gasped at his words and got all chocked up. Her hands were covering her mouth in surprise and she nodded quickly and excitedly to a grinning Jason. He took her left hand and slipped the ring on her finger.
She looked at it in shock; good shock. And she went up and hugged him. He did one of those spinning hugs which I think is adorable.
Me and Grace ran up to Nicolette and hugged her and Jason. Grace took Nicolette's hand and stared at the ring. We all looked at each other and screamed. Then we all laughed.
This was always our dreams as kids; to grow up and get married. To have the wedding of our dreams. To be happy forever. To have a dream guy.
Nic definitely got all of that.
Zach, James, and Luke came over by all of us and hugged the soon-to-be bride and groom.
The weird thing about this was Zach. He looked angry and sad. Was he not happy that they were getting married? Did he not like Jason? Maybe he's jealous of Grace and James? That's strange for Zach.
"Guys, I'm gonna go back to the house. I'm not feeling too good. I think I've uh, had um.. Too much sun. I'll see you later okay?" Zach said quietly.
"Alright. We'll see you back at the house." James said to him.
"Feel better," Luke added.
We spent the rest of the day at the beach. We all kissed and played around... And kissed some more. It was just a wonderful time to hang out and enjoy the beautiful weather.
We were sitting all together when Grace brought up a very good point. "What are we gonna do when Spring break is over? I don't want any of this to end." She sighed.
"Nothing will change," James promised. "We just have to have long distance relationships. Love doesn't know what distance is. Therefore we can and will still be together." He pulled Grace to his side and she rested her head on his shoulder. They were perfect together. I don't know anything or anyway they could be separated. He kissed her forehead.
I went over and put my head on Luke's lap. He started playing with my hair.
"As long as we still have each other, we will be perfectly fine." Luke stated.
I couldn't have said it better myself.
