BRIDGET'S POV
I'm in bed. That's what I've done all day. I feel heartbroken and unwanted. I really am craving Starbucks. A double chocolatey chip frappuccino with extra whip. Now that's my kinda drink. Ughhhh. I really don't wanna get up though...
I stood up and sighed.
"Hey Grace. I'm going to go to Starbucks. Do you want anything?" I tried to put a smile on my face.
"Ooh, that sounds so good. Yeah, I'll take a double chocolatey chip frapp with no whip please," she smiled.
I groaned. "How don't you like whip cream? That's the best part!" I explained.
"Ugh... It's too sweet and I don't like it." She shrugged.
"Alright. I'll be back," I sighed grabbing my keys.
"Do you want me to go? I'll get it." She said.
"No, it's fine. I'll be fast. Thanks though," I said walking out the door before she could protest.
Starbucks was only five minutes away from us which was very convenient for a day like today. The only thing that annoyed me was the old lady in front of me. She was going 25 while the speed limit was 35. Some old people just shouldn't drive anymore.
This old woman made my five minute trip into a ten minute one. I finally pulled into the parking lot and walked in. It wasn't very crowded like usual. Just one person ordering and a few on their phones or laptops sitting around.
I walked to the cashier and ordered. "Hi. Can I get two chocolatey chip frappuccinos? One with extra whip cream and one without any please."
"Yes. What size would you like? And what name can I put on it?" The young man asked me.
"Tall please. And Bridget."
"Alright. That will be $7.26 please."
I went to go into my purse to get my wallet out. Where is it? I set my purse on the table and started searching for it. Are you kidding me right now? This is seriously not my day.
I looked up at the cashier. He looked like he was growing impatient. "I'm sorry. Give me a minute."
I kept looking. I must've left it at home! Now I remember. It's on the counter. Ugh! Really?
"I left my wallet at home. Would you mind if I ran back and-" I started but quickly got cut off by someone's arm handing the cashier a $20 bill.
"I've got it." A male voice above me said. I was a little startled because the voice sounded vaguely familiar.
I turned to look at a young man my age that I have seen before. I couldn't put a name to him though.
"Um... You didn't have to do that, thank you. You look really familiar. Do I know you from somewhere?" I asked.
"Not very well but we did have a brief conversation on the beach. Kyle," he said holding out his hand.
Now it makes sense. He's the guy I was talking to on the beach! Oh ya! He said he lived here but I didn't think it was this close. He still looks good; tall and well built. Nice face too.
"Oh my gosh! Hi," I chuckled. "Thank you. I must have forgoten my wallet at home. It's been an off day for me." I muttered shaking his hand.
"This is strange isn't it? Seeing each other twice. Very coincidental. Fate you might call it," he smiled lightly.
"Unexpected, that's for sure."
"Bridget?" A woman said my name setting two cups on the counter.
