BRIDGET'S POV

Grace and my families are all going out to dinner to have a nice one-time get together before everyone has to leave. This will be interesting.

We all were on our way to go to the Olive Garden and everyone was pretty excited. We pulled into the crowded parking lot but thinking ahead, Grace and I had made a reservation. It was going to be eleven people there. Pretty big group. You could even say twelve people if you wanna count my bundle of joy with me.

Oh yeah, and whoever created the name "bundle of joy" obviously was on some sort of drug that gave them the thought that being pregnant was somehow... fun. It's it nowhere near fun. It's hell. From gaining weight, to being tired, getting really angry for no reason, peeing all of the time... really, like almost every hour, and just being so lazy all day. It's far from joy.

It was going to be my family: my mom and my two brothers, Grace's family: her parents and her three sisters, and I invited Kyle to introduce them to my family.

I'm just nervous for Kyle. I don't want him to be scared by my family; my mother to be exact...

We all waited for one another at the door. Kyle came and gave me a small peck on the lips and wrapped his arm around my waist as the hostess walked us to our table.

She handed out the menus and walked away with no words spoken. Pretty good service so far.

Grace sat next to her father, I sat next to Kyle, Grace's father sat at one end of the table while my younger brother, Jonathan sat at the other. Grace's dad will be cracking jokes the entire dinner and will most likely have a chat with Grace about her boyfriend that he hasn't met yet and how he expects him to treat her. He's done that since we were kids.

Before we even ordered, Grace's father, Nick, spoke up. "Grace, why don't you introduce us old people to all of the young kids here."

"Uh, right..." She mumbled. "This is Kyle, Bridget's boyfriend. Kyle, this is my dad Nick, my mother Josie, and my three sisters Taylor, Jasmine, and Alexandra."

"Nice to meet you all," Kyle said with a smile.

"And dad you already know Bridget's family." You could tell Grace was done talking and she probably didn't want to be questioned about James which her father will most likely do.

The rest of the dinner went smoothly and peaceful. No problems which is always good. We got everyone caught up with the news. But not about the baby... I would tell my family in private. Plus I don't know what the outcome will be and I don't need ten other people around to witness it. We were all saying our goodbyes when I saw Grace and her father. I went close enough to them where I could hear what they were saying.

Nick was talking to Grace and to be honest Grace looked nervous. I mean I would be pretty scared too. Grace's father is an intimidating guy at first but once you get to know him, he's the funniest guy ever. Plus they're talking about a sensitive topic...

"I hope he's a very polite young man and we won't have a problem as long as he treats my baby right. I'll welcome him to our family as long as he's willing to try and fit into it, which I also like to call dysfunction junction. But either way, someday he'll get to meet the rest of the family and I will be proud to introduce my daughter's boyfriend but also find out if he hurt you." Grace gave him a hug and kissed her father's cheek.

That always meant a lot to her. To know that her dad approved because she always wanted to make him happy. She tried her hardest to.

I went by my family and was holding Kyle's hand. My mother looked at our hands and cleared her throat. Kyle looked up at my mom and held out his free hand to shake, never letting go of me.
