BRIDGET'S POV
It's Friday... I have a 'date'. No it's not a date. It's two people going out for dinner. Two acquaintances going to a simple place out to eat.
Oh, what am I kidding? It's a damn date.
Kyle texted me the details yesterday:
If you're okay with it, I was planning on going out to dinner, then we could go see a movie. Sound good?I responded with a simple 'yes' and sent him my address.
Right now I'm getting dressed. I don't wanna wear anything that thinks I'm too interested but I don't want to wear anything that makes me look like I don't care.
This is why guys are so lucky. They don't have to worry about all these little things.
I have decided to wear a pair of skinny jeans with casual blouse. Perfect.
It was 7:42. Kyle should be here soon. I wonder what movie we're seeing... I hope it nothing scary.
Where are we going for dinner? This is going to be full of surprises... I'm really not ready to start dating but I didn't have quite a choice here. I'm still extremely hurt that Luke was cheating on me. I never would've thought he would do that. But it's over and done with. Nothing can change what's already happened. And with that, I heard a knock at the door. I quickly opened it to find Kyle. He looked nice. A casual, yet nicer outfit.
"Hello, Bridget. You look nice," he stated smiling.
"Thank you. Uh, you too." I half smiled.
"Thanks. Ready to go?" He asked.
I nodded. I turned back and yelled, "Grace, I'm leaving!"
"Have fun!" I heard her yell back.
I closed the door behind me and we left. Should I ask him about what we're doing? I don't wanna be rude though.
"So... Can you explain to me what the plan is for tonight?" I asked quietly.
"Well, first we are going to a restaurant called District. Then we're gonna go to the movies. Are you okay with that?" He asked with his eyes on the road.
"Yeah... But what movie are we seeing?" I asked a little worried.
"You'll see," he smirked.
Great... Just please don't let it be a scary movie. Please, please, please. I hate them.
We arrived at the 'District' I guess and he quickly turned the car off and sprinted to my side of the car, opening the door for me. "Thanks," I mumbled.
The hostess sat us down at a booth and a waitress came and asked us for our drinks. When she looked at me for my drink, she looked bored and annoyed; she obviously didn't want to be here just like me. I just ordered a sprite.
Then she turned towards Kyle and her face broken into an immediate smile. Really? If he and I were dating... the things I would've said.
The funny thing though was that he paid no attention to her whatsoever. He just gave her his order and looked back at me. Wow, quite a guy so far. He didn't even stare at her boobs that she was really trying hard to push out.
"I am still a little freaked out that we saw each other again. That doesn't just normally happen. It's a little spooky if you ask me," he said wiggling his eyebrows.
I giggled at him. "Me too. When you said you lived in New York, I didn't know it would be this close."
''Yeah, me either! But I'm glad I get to spend my night with a wonderful girl like you. I'm really happy I met you. Even if it was for a short minute!" Kyle smiled.
