GRACE'S POV
James is gone. Again. I hate the feeling of him not being here but hey, what am I gonna do? Nothing, because I can't.
Tomorrow we're graduating. Bridget and I will graduate from college and start our life. Our real life in the real world.
This month went so fast. Then at the end of the month is Nicolette's wedding! Bridget and I are going to get our dresses fitted the day after graduation to be prepared for the wedding and try to make it as perfect as can be.
I want Starbucks.
I went straight to my car (trying not to attract any rapists this time) and drove quickly down the street. I love how Starbucks is this close.
I parked my car and ordered my chocolatey chip frappucinno with no whip and waited for them to call my name. I brought my computer with me since they have free wifi and just roamed around as I waited for to call my name.
"Grace?" I heard as I pulled up the internet on my laptop.
I stood up and got my frap from the cashier mumbling a thank you with a smile before sitting back down again.
I was just looking through my feed on all my social networking accounts and finished writing my graduation speech as I sipped from my wonderful and much needed Starbucks cup. I texted James a quick have a good day text and logged off of my computer.
I shut it, took the last sip of my frap and threw it in the trash. I walked back to my car to find the same guy that had tried to kiss me before at my car that caused all the drama with me before.
I sprinted to my car and turned the ignition on ready to pull out as I fast as I could until he stood right behind my car. What the hell? He started waving his arms as in to show me stop.
Once I had stopped moving my car he ran to my window and started knocking on it like crazy. I rolled it open about half an inch. Just a small little crack. Only so I could hear whatever he was about to say.
I kept my hands on the wheel ready to leave at any moment.
"Hey, hey! Thank you for stopping. I really just wanted to apologize for what happened the other day. I was drunk and dumb and I guess it was some dare or something. I don't even remember. But someone video taped it. I saw it and needed to find you and apologize." He sounded sincere.
I rolled down the window a little bit more.
"I hope you know I was scared to death. You have no idea what you would've done if I wouldn't have gotten away." I scolded him as the flashback reappeared in my brain.
"I know. I know. I didn't know what I was doing. You don't know how bad I feel. You have a pretty hard knee by the way," his lip slightly went up on one end.
I rolled my eyes. Well I know how to protect myself pretty well.
"Okay. How about we go out to lunch right now. On me. As an apology for mine and my stupid friend's actions." He said.
"Fine. Where?" I said expressionless.
"The Local Tavern down the road. I'll meet you there," he said jogging to his car without anymore words spoken.
I pulled into the place and parked my car before putting my forehead against the steering wheel.
I just accepted lunch with a guy that tried to almost rape me...
What is wrong with me?
I pulled into the Local Tavern and parked my car.
Should I leave? Am I really going to lunch with some weirdo that tried to get with this? I-I should leave. Number one rule: don't talk to strangers but instead I'm having lunch with one.
