For a long moment I was frozen in place, the blaring alarm continuing to ring. I knew what it meant, we all did, but there was no way that's possible.

Someone caught my arm and I gasped turning to see Chuck, who looked up at me wide-eyed. "Is this what I think it means?" He quickly asked and I shook my head. "I...I don't know. This has never happened before!" I exclaimed.

I tugged on Chuck's arm and headed over to the box, where others were quickly rushing to and forming a tightly packed crowd. I tried pushing my way through to the front, but not one person was budging, not wanting to loose their spot.

"I can't believe you only have to be the greenie for a day." I heard Chuck say and I turned, finding him standings next to Thomas. "That's really all you care about Chuck?" I asked rolling my eyes. He laughed, shrugging his shoulders.

The alarm finally came to stop and everyone quieted. Newt and Alby pushed their ways to the front, their expressions serious. I rose on my toes trying to obtain a better view of the box, but was denied that privilege by the taller boys in front of me.

The creaking of rusted metal was heard, followed immediately by gasps and expressions of "no way!", from the front of the crowd. "What is it?" Another boy cried out close to me, who was also impaired from seeing what was in the Box. A few others agreed, but Newt and Alby remained silent, which only amplified my growing curiosity.

"Don't keep us in suspense!" I finally yelled beginning to become aggravated. "Tell 'em Newt." I heard Alby say followed by another pause before Newt finally spoke. "It's a girl."

Immediately everyone started talking at once.
"Is she hot?"
"Oh call dibs!"
"What? That's not possible!"
"Again?"
"One was enough drama as it is!"
I didn't even respond to the last comment I was too shocked. Another girl! How, why, what? I didn't know what to think.

Suddenly the crowd parted, everyone looking in my direction. Newt pointed at me and Thomas, and motioned for us to come forward. "You two, come here." He said his voice grave. I glanced at Thomas before walking towards where Newt and Alby were crouched down next to an unconscious girl, but as I got closer I gasped.

Newt was watching my expression and gestures for me to crouch down too. "Do you recognize her?" He whispered as I knelt down next to him. I bit down on my lip and nodded. "Is she... Dead." I asked realizing she wasn't breathing. Nobody answered.

"Well, Greenie," Alby started and I looked up to see him eyeing Thomas, suspiciously. "Do you recognize her?" He forcefully shook his head. "No, I've never seen her before! Not that I remember..." Alby and Newt exchanged a look. "Why do you think I know anything?" He asked. Alby raised an eyebrow. "We've never had two newbies come a day apart from each other, and suddenly this girl comes up dead right after you come..."

"I didn't kill her if that's what you think!" Thomas exclaimed interrupting Alby's sentence. "Calm down greenie no one if accusing you of anything." Newt spoke and I looked up at Thomas. "But even you have to admit it's a weird coincidence." I added, keeping my voice even, as everyone turned to look at me surprised.

Before anyone could say anything, suddenly the girl gasped, her eyes shooting open and darting around. I quickly stood up, my heart racing. "Everything is going to change." She whispered clearly as she fell back down, her eyes rolling to the back of her head.

I hesitantly took a step forward, my eyes catching sight of a piece of paper clasped tightly in her hand. Dropping to my knees again, I pried her fingers open, snatching the note up.

I slowly unfolded the note, and as I read the bold letters, my heart beat came to a halt. I handed the note off to Newt whose expression matched exactly what I felt.
