--------------I walked with her in the park, side by side, our shoes clacking against the hard sidewalk that lied against the ground, revealing the beautiful trees and flowers and scenery before us.
It was a beautiful day, and she was a beautiful girl.
"Levi, thanks again for getting me ice cream! You're the best." She exclaimed, giving me a side hug with her teeth showing through her stunning smile.
I smiled on the outside, highly contrasting my true emotions in the inside.
"No problem, (y/n)." I simply said, our hands brushing against each other, not interlocking at all.
"S-So... how's your boyfriend?" I struck up a conversation, blushing slightly from the weird topic starter.
We've been friends for such a long time... Why do I still become like this around her?
She rolled her eyes and began to eat her ice cream more aggressively. "Ugh, fuck him. I hate him."
My eyebrows furrowed as I diverted most of my attention towards her. "What happened? It's Jean, right?"
"Yeah, my boyfriend used to be Jean. He cheated on me, and you know what's the worse part?"
"What is it?"
"He never told me he was fucking bi, so he fucking cheated on me with a guy. How the hell was I supposed to react? His new lover, Marco I believe, is nice and shit too. Why can't I get a good boyfriend?!" She vented out, her face burning red with anger as she stomped in the park with me.
I'm right here, right here! You don't have to look anymore!
I sighed and ran my free hand through my raven hair.
"Don't worry, (y/n), the right guy will come to you." I assured, renewing her smile. We sat on our usual spot; the black bench that was, for the most part, isolated from most presences.
"I hope." She breathed out, leaning against me. "Say, Levi. Do you have a girlfriend?"
My breathing hitched in response to her question, but soon regaining my composure.
"Well, there's this girl that I really like. She's really beautiful and kind, and she's the only thing that makes me feel emotion in this world. Sympathy. Empathy. Amusement. But, I know she doesn't like me. We've been friends for so long, and she just sees me as a good friend. She won't ever like me, and I'm starting to lose hope." I indirectly confessed to her, (y/n)'s eyes widening.
"Awww, that's so cute! But listen, Levi. There's no way any girl who doesn't want you. You're so strong and smart, you're the best guy out there!" She giggled at the end, leaning onto me even more.
Besides you, probably...
"I want to ask her out." I admitted, my cheeks scattered with pink.
"You're even blushing too! Why don't you ask her? What are you gonna lose?" She laughed, smiling.
"Her friendship." I stated, looking away with a frown. (y/n) frowned as well, finishing her ice cream and getting even closer to me.
"Levi..." She muttered, grabbing my hand and playing with it in hers.
Her touch sent surges of electricity down my body. I just want to feel that every single day, night, morning.
I chuckled sheepishly and rubbed her hand. "I-It's fine, I guess I'd rather be friends with her. The friendship is too... special, to me."
"I'll always love you, Levi, so don't worry about it." She tried to reassure me, hugging me.
