Pearl (1)~The garden

The moon is the first thing I see.

The warp-pad stops and I get off. With a final shimmer, I turn and look out. Tons of roses spread out from me, with a cherry blossom tree up on a small hill.

The hill is all in light blue grass, waving softly in the breeze. I inhale and turn around, looking for abandoned gems.

I finally find a small Moonstone gem. It forms before I can do anything. I gasp and stumble backwards before it forms.

A small girl, about 7 years old, forms, then sees me and whimpers. My eyes widen. "Hi..." I mumble.

She looks around before waving back at me. She waves slowly.

Suddenly, her form glitches out, and she grows in height and size. She's now about 13 or so, and she stumbles backwards.

I notice that her gem is cracked. It's placed on her chest, shining clean cool and polished...but she looks human.

She has shorts and a small olive green rain-coat on. She has bare-feet and is panicking. Her gem then glitches again and she turns younger.

"Are you ok?"

the young girl looks confused. My eyes suddenly light up. "Here...I know someone who can help you, ok?" She looks at me.

"How?" She finally says.

I put my hand on her shoulder and smile kindly. "There's another half human, like yourself, who can heal you."

Her eyes light up and her fists clench as her gem glitches and she grows once again. "Really!?" She glitches abundantly before running around.

She cartwheels, cheers, and flops onto the grass, swaying softly in the purple light. She laughs. I smile. I go up to her.

Holding my hand out, she takes it, and I guide her back towards the warp-pad.

"So...what happened to you?" I ask as blue light shimmers all around us. She blushes and shakes her head of ~YHC~ hair.

"I...i don't know. I was with my dad and he-" She suddenly gasps. "Oh my gosh, my dad." She leaps out of the warp-pad without thinking.

"Ah!"

I reach forwards and grab the scruff of her rain-coat. She whimpers and instantly turns younger, her stomach dropping at the empty void below us.

I bring her back to the surface, where she's grasping her head and shaking. I go closer to her. "Are you ok?"

She's shaking so much I back up. Her breathing becomes heavily. Tears are spilling out of her eyes and into the void.

Then, without warning, she turns back into a baby. I gasp. The raincoat around her becomes slightly bigger as she shrinks.

We're right inside the temple, and I have a small baby having a panic attack. Garnet and Amethyst are in the kitchen, sipping hot cocoa.

They both turn towards me.

"I..."

Garnet sighs.

"Pearl, why do you have a baby?"

I sigh. "Well, she has a gemstone." She suddenly glitches again and grows, her clothes suddenly becoming too small.

She's as tall as Stevonnie.

Tears fog up in her pale eyes, misted and clouded. She quickly wipes them away when she notices where we are.

She notices Garnet and Amethyst, then smiles.

"Hi," She mumbles awkwardly.

~YN~ (that's what she introduced herself to us as,) sips the cocoa and smiles, wiping away the milk mustache.

"So...you're boat crashed when you were on it with your dad, is that correct?" Garnet asks. ~YN~'s gem glitches again, and she turns younger, but she nods.

"Hmm...well, we can look for your dad in a while, but you can sleep here for now, until we find him." 

~YN~ nods.

"Thanks."

She turns to me and smiles.
