You're sleeping in your bed, hearing the soft purrs of Lion. Suddenly, you groan as somebody turns on the lights.

"Sorry~YN~," They wince. You smile and sit up onto your elbows. "Hi Pearl." Pearl sits on the edge of your bed.

Quickly fixing up the covers, she picks up one of your hands.

"Amethyst told you, didn't she?" You shake your head.

"Why? What did she, 'tell me'?" You ask with a suspicious look gleaming into your eyes, nervously.

Pearl sighs.

"It's about your dad."

Your eyes gleam and you sit up.

"Oh?"

"He's getting better, but he may be a little numb of where he is. He'll be ok soon though." You sigh, relief washing over you.

"Ok."

At this point, you've come to think of Pearl as your guardian. You sometimes catch yourself calling her, 'mom.' by accident.

She hugs you, and leaves the room. you sigh and put your head on the side of your pillow. A new sense of calm washes over you.

The skies are star-dotted with colours, and green light shimmers on the horizon, with blue light spreading out like a dome. Soon, the additional slushy-beach-sands and the waters goes blurry.

A sense of drowsiness seeps into your mind, your vision going foggy, and your breath slowing. It's like Pearl taught you. Breathe...

Suddenly, you're about to drift off, when you feel something warm and smelly, like sea-water, go around your mouth.

Your eyes light up as somebody's arms struggle to keep the cloth on you. "STAY STILL!" A voice dripping with frustration yells out.

You suddenly feel woozy and sick, and everything is starting to go black. You move your elbow from the pillow to your captor's chest, and they yelp.

You manage to inch away as Lion growls, and you rush out of bed, but the cloth's fumes overwhelm you, and you flop onto the carpeted-flooring, out cold.

~~

You wake up as faces begin to form around you. you feel groggy and your stomach feels like a bag of mushed-up-puke. (forget that simile, sorry for ruining your breakfast.)

A face is looking down at you.

A big smirk is painted across her face, and soon is grows into a beam and a snicker.

It's a gem, you realize.

She has yellow hair formed to look like the shape of a dorito, and her skin and suit are green, shining in the darkly-lit-room.

You try to break free until you realize that you're stuck to the wall, with your hands tied together as you sit huddles, with your feet underneath you as you sit near to the walls.

You recognize the face. "Peridot!!" The gem looks surprised.

"You remember me?" Her face grows uneasy. "Young gems hybrids can't remember that far back...can they?"

"What are you talking about?" You ask like she's crazy.

"I was talking about how my...mom, told me about you," you say.

Peridot gulps softly. Suddenly, your brain clicks.

"What do you mean, 'remember that far back,'? What happened?"

Peridot rolls her eyes.

"Well, you are pretty smart. You should have figured out by now that Pearl isn't your earthly mother." Suddenly, she laughs loudly.

"Huh, a human with a pearl? Pearl's are accessories! but with a human! HA!" You grow inpatient. You reach forwards, violently trying to free your hands

Sweat drips from your head. Your hands start to become raw and red from struggling, eventually, the ropes on your stomach are too much.

You sigh and sit back up, but you angrily stare at Peridot, your face going red.

"What do you mean, 'accessories'!? And where are we? And what did you do when I was little!!?"

Peridot sighs and rolls her eyes once again.

"Simple. For one, Pearls on Home-world are just accessories, merely assistants to the more powerful warriors like Jaspers and Amethysts."

What?

"Second, we are deep within the forests, in a think-chamber.(you want to both laugh and gag at the fact that she means an outhouse,) and third, I tried to eliminate your creator."

What!?

"I tried to tip the boat that you and your parental figure were riding in, and I attempted to drown him and imprison you in a stone pillar until later,

but you both survived, heh, and I've been tracking you ever since.

Now, personally, if I didn't work for Jasper, I would've used a less violent tactic. But..." She shrugs. "Whatever are orders, are orders."

The color drains from your face until you're almost sure that you look like Casper the friendly ghost.

"You tried to kill my dad!? Why!?"

Peridot smirks. "To make you a warrior!"

She turns on a rather scary looking device. Just as you try to scream for help, you think of all of the things that she's said.

She tried to kill dad.

...and she just called Pearl an accessory! How dare she!

Suddenly, the gems come crashing through the door.

Amethyst laughs at the outhouse while Steven unties you. He helps you up. "Thanks," you say. He shrugs and smiles. "No prob, bob."

Garnet tries to poof Peridot with her gloves, but they miss and get stuck into the corner of the wall. Then Peridot lunges for pearl.

"STAY AWAY FROM THEM!" You shout, actually making her poof. You breathe out. "...wow..."

"Whoo!" Yells out Steven. "Whoo-hoo!!" Chirps Amethyst.

"Now, let's get out of here," You say as Garnet poofs and bubbles Peridot's gem.

"I wanna get out of this sticky stinky outhouse." Everybody smiles in agreement.

As you head out, Amethyst lifts up the outhouse and Peridot's words float back into your head. "the warriors like Jaspers and Amethysts."

Was Amethyst a warrior?...did she even know?

"What are you doing with that?"

Asks garnet curiously. Amethyst shrugs and lifts it onto her back, carrying it all the way along the forest-floors. "I figure that i could use it for something else."

Pearl hugs you as you walk alongside her, the others trailing behind.

~~

You're all sitting in the living room, a game of Cookie Cat, the board game laid out on the table-top. You're the dog, like always.

You sip some of your water, then look at Pearl.

"Hey...do you guys know why Peridot wanted to make me a warrior?" You glitch, and your clothes shrink slightly as your height increases.

The gems all look at each-other.

"What do you mean?" Asks Garnet.

You wince, your face going bright red. Right, they weren't there when Peridot said that was her mission.

You sigh.

Your head rests on the back of the couch as sunlight slowly reaches the horizon. "I dunno...but, I'll tell you guys everything, I promise."
