Amethyst (6)~The gone

Your eyes snap open. Everything hurts. Your head, lungs, chest.

Sweat stains your forehead and scars and scratches mark your legs.

Your breathing is shallow and a low hum echoes in your mind.

The echo slowly turns to something.

Your eyes snap open.

The beach...

You feel beach sand grazing your fingers.

Soft. You squish them until the dust the sides of your hand.

Pain seers inside your head. Slight sea-foam is spread out.

Soft water laps at your ankles at you sit up. Everything is still blurry.

Suddenly, you look up. Everything is dark. Green debris with red shadows.

You can bear fire crackling and crashing debris.

Then, suddenly, you feel someone hugging you close.

A bubble forms around you, silencing the outside world slightly.

You see a shadow of someone, and then the debris around you flies away.

Lion!

He comes up close to the bubble and sits. You look up.

Garnet, Steven, Amethyst, and Pearl all huddle around you.

Stevens bubble locks out the outside world, and suddenly, it evaporates.

Pieces continue to fly into the ocean, the sky filled with red fiery clouds.

"Garnet! I can't believe you're a fashion!" Steven yells, eyes wide.

Pearl winces.

"Garnet, your plan!" Garnet looks down at the two of you.

"We were waiting for your birthdays," she replies awkwardly.

Amethyst laughs.

Suddenly a giant orange hand pops out, standing out from the green ship pieces.

Jasper appears, bruised, scars lining her face. Her gem glimmers on her nose.

You shiver.

"What?" Pearl asks. You all turn and wince.

"Oh."

Then another figure pops out from the wreckage.

A small blue gem with short hair and almost transparent wings shakes off dust.

She gasps, her face pale, as she tries to take out.

But Jasper grabs her.

"Lapis!" You call out without thinking. She turns to you.

The gems all go up to her all as Steven yells, "leave her alone!"

Lapis slightly struggles against Jasper, but you can see she's exhausted.

And suddenly, without warning, Jasper throws Lapis up into the air.

Jasper flashes a triumphed smile at you before catching her.

What happens next makes you fall backwards.

The two fuse, pure white light shining against the beach.

Green skin forms, turquoise and prizmarine on the shadows.

Four giant eyes peer at you, filled with exhaustion and anger.

Then they flash, full of frustration and hate.

The fusion raises a giant fist at the four of you, preparing to squish you into the sand.

Your weapon comes out almost automatically, posed to strike.

Your heavy breathing rings in your ears.

Suddenly, giant forms and strings in the ocean leap out and latch onto the fusions' hands and feet.

"What!? No!" She exclaims, being dragged by the chains.

Her giant feet drag along the sand, making creases filling with water.

She trips, getting pulled more into the surface of the sea.

"I'm done being everyone prisoner!" The fusion yells.

You suddenly get it.

Lapis is trapping Jasper.

Suddenly, before you can react, the Lapis side yells out,

"Let's stay on this miserable planet, together!"

Then the chains pull the fusion down until she's far under its depths.

Everyone still on the shore has open mouths and wide eyes.

You let your arm slip and your bow tumbles onto the sand, your arrows dispersing.

No one moves, and silence cuts through the air like a knife.

Debris continues falling as you hear a faint mumbling.

Steven is on the phone, talking to Connie.

"Steven? Are you ok?"

His mouth is still open, everyone staring at the place where the fusion was.

But now, she was deep beneath the surface, trapped.

"Steven!? Hello? Are you ok?"
