I feel uneasy.

Home world sent me here to check on the Beta kindergarten, but no such luck.

Everything was in shambles, with big mounds of soldiers looking dis formed, from the way they came out.

Jasper has now ordered me to find some humans and turn them into gems.

I have chosen babies, since they would always think themselves as gem warriors.

It would be easy. But now, the one I have chosen has always managed to escape me.

Because of those crystal clods. Now, a lot has happened.

First, I've learned the baby I have chosen was a gem.

A moonstone. Half-human, much like, "the Steven."

I've been poofed, hidden in a bathroom, taken to a barn to stop a cluster, and I have managed to become a crystal gem.

Ew.

I even called Yellow Diamond a clod, right to her face!

It feels horrible and great at the exact same time....mostly great...I think.

We're currently figuring out how to stop the cluster.

Now, I'm on a meadow, twiddling my
thumbs. It's been a busy month.

Steven is close to me on a blanket, sleeping.

The other crystal clods-er, Pearl, Garnet, and Amethyst-are currently working on a drawing board about the cluster.

Suddenly, ~YN~ comes up to me. "What?" I ask.

"Well," she says, sitting down next to me, "it's weird how were friends now, but you tried to kill me when I was little."

I nod. "Yes, that is quite humorous."

There is an awkward silence. I study the girl. She is about Stevens age, maybe just a bit younger.

She has ~YHC~hair and ~YEC~ eyes, and she looks quite intently at me.

"So," I ask her, "how is life with the gems?"

She smiles.

"Pretty good, actually. Even though I miss my dad."

I nod.

"So, how is life with the gems for you?" She smirks at me. I shrug.

"It's ok, I guess."

Suddenly, the ground beneath us trembles.

I rush out to the black board. "It's the cluster!!"

Steven wakes up, looking quite sweaty. "Are you ok!?" Asks ~YN~.

"I think so," he mumbles awkwardly.

"Must be the cluster," mumbles Pearl. Steven jumps up.

"No, it's Malachite!" Pearl looks at him, wide-eyed.

The gems all tell him to stay by me and ~YN~, and then they head off towards the nearest warp-pad.

I can tell that Steven really wants to go with them. ~YN~ just looks nervous.

"I know how to get to them!" Steven says, and he suddenly falls back asleep.

"No, don't leave me again!" I shout at him. ~YN~ sighs, frustrated.

"Why can't I have gem powers?"

I smirk at her.

"You do."

"But not like Steven!"

"Trust me, it's not as glamorous as you think."

"But Steven travels in his dreams! Can't everyone do that?"

I shake my head.

"I don't have any." I say.

~YN~ stays silent for a quick second.

"What? Why not."

"Because I'm a newly-made Peridot.i don't have any powers."

Just me.

No special abilities. No shapeshifting. No weapons m. Just...me.

~YN~ puts her hand on my shoulder. "I'm sorry," she says.

"Don't apologize," I mumble. "It's fine. I'm used to it by now."

She sighs.

"Well, at least we both don't have a ton of powers."

I can tell that she feels bad for me.

She bonded with me just as much as Steven had, so it felt nice to be comforted.

But still weird, at the exact same time.

Suddenly, Steven jumps up, awake.

"What's wrong?" Asks ~YN~.

"The gems unfused Malachite and Jasper and Lapis fainted."

What?

"Amethyst caught Lapis but Jasper fell into the ocean, and mask island is having earthquakes! The cluster is waking up and the gems have no way back home!"

Oh no.
It's coming.
