Vanessa's POV

Today morning was really awkward. Atleast for Zayn. He woke up even before I did and then went off to the studio, leaving a note, even though they just start it at 9:00 am. He felt really awkward just to know that I saw his boner. At first I felt awkward then I just turned it into a joke. I knew how Zayn is. He gets turned on easily.

Moving on, it was evening now and I was supposed to watch the pirated version of 'The Murders' with Zayn. I looked at my phone. It said 9:33PM. Where is Zayn?

I switched on the TV to the NEWS channel. Not that I'm interested or anything. Just something to watch. Then I heard  the door knob open. I switched of the TV.

"Hey Zayn." I said, as Zayn walked in.

"Hey." He said not looking me in the eye. He walked towards the kitchen, grabbed himself a glass of water and then started climbing the stairs.

"So are we still down for the movie?" I asked.

He turned back and looked at me. "You still wanna watch it?" 

"Yeah. I was looking forward to it." 

"Oh ok. Then we can watch it. I'll take a shower and be back in 10 minutes." He said as he went up the stairs.

I was about to sit down on the couch when the doorbell rang. I opened the door. Harry. I haven't seen him in a long time.

"Hey Vanessa." Harry said as he pulled me in for a hug.

"Hey. " I said as we pulled away from the hug.

Harry's POV

Wow. I am seeing her after a long time.

"Come in." She said as I entered the house.

I never told anyone about it, but I always had a thing for her. That black hair. Those lips. Not too thin, not too plump. But I never told anyone about how I felt because if i did, of course Zayn would've broken my face.

"I didn't know you were staying here." I said, as I plumped down on the couch.

"I am but not for long. Just for a couple of days. I thought Zayn told you." Vanessa said taking a seat next to me.

Zayn walked down the stairs, his lower body wrapped up in a white towel.

"What are you doing here, Harry?" He asked as Vanessa and I got up from the couch.

"You invited me for watching the movie, remember?" I said. I could sense Vanessa's and Zayn's awkwardness. Something had obviously happened between them.

"I didn't invite you, Harry. I just told you that I was watching the movie." Zayn said, frustrated.

"Oh." I said, disappointed. "I'll go. I didn't mean to ruin your date."

Zayn opened his mouth to say something, but Vanessa beat him to it.

"It's okay, Harry. You can watch the movie with us. Plus it wasn't a date." Vanessa said.

I really did feel bad. Vanessa rarely says no to anyone.

We played the movie. Vanessa was seated between me and Zayn, after Zayn put some clothes on, of course, me on her left and Zayn on her right.

The movie was pretty scary.  We kept jerking every 5 minutes, Vanessa screaming from between us.

"Vanessa, where are the kids?" I asked, as the thought popped into my head. Zayn had told me and the lads about Emily and Ethan. He had also told us about Perrie and his breakup. It was all over the news. Not the Emily and Ethan thing, the
break up thing.

"Oh. They're at Niall's." Vanessa said.

"Niall's? What are they doing there?" I asked.

"Niall is making up to me for something." Vanessa said with a smirk on her face.

We watched the rest of the movie. Vanessa even buried her face in my sleeves when she got scared.

Towards the end, the movie got boring so Vanessa slept of with her head on my shoulder. And Zayn happened to notice that.

"Harry, I think you should get going." Zayn said as he got up from the couch to switch the TV off.

"Thanks for letting me watch the movie with you. Even though I'm uninvited. " I said, apologetically, as Vanessa stirred a bit in her sleep.

"First of all I didn't let you watch the movie. Vanessa did. Second of all, stop trying to hit on Vanessa." Zayn said frustrated. I saw something in his eyes. What was that? Jealousy.

"Okay fine, mate. I'll leave. And I wasn't hitting on Vanessa. She's all yours." I said plainly as I walked out of the door.
