"What animal did Ron suggest Harry could turn into for the Second Task?"

----

The end of February came at blinding speeds. The snow had cleared, but it was still cold enough for it to come back. Harry had finally decided to use the gillyweed again. He figured it would make Dobby happy to know that he had helped, helping anyone seemed to cheer the kindhearted elf and Harry wasn't going to take that away from him. Of course, he had a backup plan to just use the Bubble-Head charm if Crouch didn't send Dobby with the gillyweed.

The only thing left was knowing who would be at the bottom of the lake. It had become a toss-up between Ron and Ginny. Hermione, Luna, and Harry thought that it would be Ginny, while Ron, Ginny, and Rolf figured Dumbledore would choose Ron. So when Fred and George walked into the library, they all looked at them curiously.

"It seems they've been expecting us, George," Fred remarked upon seeing their reactions.

George grinned, "I bet they're wondering what we're going to say, though."

"Just who you want," Ginny replied.

"Ah. Well, if you tell us how you know we want someone, we might just tell you."

Ron opened his mouth to protest, but Harry answered first, "I figured out the clue for the next task. It said that something treasured of mine would be taken, and with Dumbledore as part of the panel it's going to be someone close to me."

"Aren't you the smart one. Now the question is, who does ol' Dumbledore think is closest to you?" George asked.

"Is it the brotherly best friend?"

"The genius best friend?"

"The new girlfriend?"

"Perhaps it's the crazy best friend or the newest member of the team."

"Am I the crazy one then?" Luna asked innocently.

Fred nodded, "In a good way, of course. How else would we know all about poor Trelawney's struggle with discovering who she really is?"

"Oh, I'm sure she would have let it been known eventually. It was really quite easy to find all the proof I needed."

"Of course, but you-"

Ginny interrupted, "I hate to interrupt, but I'm sure one of us really needs to get going."

George nodded, "Oh right. McGonagall asked for you, Gin. So where are they going to be holding you that Harry has to get you back from?"

"Oh, the bottom of the lake." With that, Ginny kissed Harry's cheek and skipped off, leaving a shocked Fred and George.

"Did she just say-"

"Bottom of the lake?"

Harry nodded, "Don't worry, the mermaids will protect her. But she won't be down there long, and Dumbledore wouldn't allow it if she got hurt. Ginny wouldn't do it if it wasn't safe."

The twins thought on that for a minute before nodding and walking off.

"They took that much better than I thought they would. They're rather protective of her." Luna mused.

"Well, she does keep threatening to hex them if they don't stop that. You should have seen it when they came to me after they heard I was taking her to the Yule Ball, I've never seen them back down so quickly."
