Sooooo, I'm back. Honestly, I really did need the break. Even though my updates were spread out I was doing a lot of writing in general and it was getting to be a bit much. However, I'm ready to write again. (Also, I get to do fanfiction for my English project, so that was good motivation.)

Harry wasn't able to get to the Weasley's again until four days before the trial. Since it was so close, the Ministry had appointed someone to brief Harry on what to expect during the trial and to assure them that he was in no danger. The man who came made the whole affair sound much more exciting than it actually was, as Harry well knew. Even if it was more high profile than anything he'd dealt with previously, it would still be more of the same: a bombardment of questions and accusations. His sanity and reliability would be questioned and he'd fall under intense scrutiny from both sides. Just another day in the life of The-Boy-Who-Lived - er, Conquered.

Aside from that, the Ministry also decided he needed to pick two Aurors for a security detail. He'd chosen Tonks immediately and wanted to pick Kingsley as well but figured he'd have his hands full with the trial itself and went with Reynott who was experienced but preferred more relaxed missions as opposed to high profile. His choices were approved and after that, he was allowed much more freedom. Mrs. Weasley opened the Aurors with open arms, offering both of them meals whenever Harry happened to be over for them. Of course, now that Harry was adding three mouths to her plate whenever he came over, the youngest Weasley's spent more time at Sirius' than they had during previous summers.

This would have been a nice arrangement if it wasn't for the Aurors who heard every word, more specifically Reynott. Harry trusted him but knew that he was extremely loyal to whoever outranked him, which meant there was a good chance he would report to Fudge about anything out of the ordinary, and they couldn't risk that. Of course, now that they'd completed what they'd planned there was much less to talk about when it came to their peculiar situation, which they were all fine with. Now they could lead some semblance of a normal student's life, something none of them had ever experienced. Harry was convinced he'd go mad without something to do, but Ginny pointed out that with Voldemort gone he could focus completely on Quidditch for his last three years.

"Three years." Harry mused when she'd said that. "I'm finally going to get to attend seventh year. I'll actually have to take my NEWTs to become an Auror."

"Please, you still defeated Voldemort. At fourteen, no less. You could probably become an Auror with a T in all your NEWTs."

"I'm not going to test that theory." Harry said, although seeing the current state of the Minister, Fudge would probably be just fine with him becoming an Auror right now if he wanted to. Not that he was planning on it, they were still laying low and becoming an Auror at fifteen was not part of that plan.

Ginny shrugged, "Probably a good idea."

Tonks stuck her head into the room, "Ginny, your mum wants you home soon and I offered to walk you home."

Ginny nodded, "I'll be right there. Just give me a sec?"

Tonks nodded and ducked out of the room, but she was probably standing right outside the door.

Ginny sighed and turned to Harry, "Are you going to come right back here after the trial?"

"Probably. I'll change and then we can get out for a Quidditch match or something."

"Alright. I'll let the others know so they can plan to get pummeled."

"As far as I remember, we won last time." Harry pointed out with a smirk.

She rolled her eyes and kissed his cheek before standing up, "Then I guess we'll have to kick your butt even more tomorrow."

"In your dreams."
