I woke up in Scott's arms. When I looked up to look at his face, he was already awake. "Hi." His low grumble of a voice made me giggle. It was like sandpaper against a brick.
"Hi." I smiled. He bent his head down to place a quick kiss on the tip of my nose. I snuggled into his side a little closer.
"What do you want to do today?" Right on cue, my stomach called out for nutrition. With the gurgling, came my sarcastic answer.
"Eat. All day, just eat." He seemed to consider it. "It was a joke," I reassured him.
"How about," he started, completely ignoring my previous statement. "I make you something to eat now, and we go out for dinner later?" Is it just me, or was that a date proposal?
"L-like on a date?"
"Well, yeah. Unless you don't want to..."
"I most definitely want to!" I exclaimed maybe a bit to excitedly. I have no shame. He chuckled a bit at my enthusiasm before getting out of bed to get ready for the day.
When I decided I should do the same, I tried to sit up but a sharp pain shot through me back. I winced at the unexpected shock. I looked up to see my boyfriend leaning on the doorframe, only his pants on. "That's normal after your first time. It'll go away, just don't move around too much until later." He walked over and helped me up .I decided to just get into pyjamas. I will change right before we leave to dinner, I just want to be comfortable for now.
I tried to follow him down the stairs. When I sucked in a quick breath through my clenched jaw, Scott turned around. He thought for a split second, he thought. The next I was effortlessly pulled into his arms and carried down the stairs and placed on the couch.
"Thanks."
"Anytime, babe."
---------------------------------------
Two hours later, and I was still on the couch. This time I was accompanied by a bowl of 'Lucky Charms' and Scott. I really needed to pee, but I was way to comfortable to move. Most of the pain was ignorable, I was just too lazy to get up and do the work. When my bladder was screaming at me and I had to do a pee dance, I decided that now was a good time before I burst.
I pried myself from Scott's embrace, where we were watching SpongeBob, and ran to the bathroom. When I was done, I was looking in the mirror and a dark spot caught my attention. It was an ugly pink/purple/brown mark on my collarbone. I poked it several times. Scott.
I marched back into the living room and pointed to the mark. "What is this?" I tapped my foot as I waited for the answer.
He looked and I watched as a cocky grin crept it's way onto his lips. "A hickey." God, his cockiness.
"You marked me?!" He huffed and stood from his spot on the couch and turned his back to me. I was confused as to what he was doing. He lifted his shirt a bit and I saw red lines in groups of four tail down from his shoulders. I did that? "Oh, well, I guess we're even then." Then I sat back down beside him.
---------------------------------
I sat in the passenger seat in Scott's car as we made our way to a restaurant I had never heard of before. I was buzzing with the excitement and nervousness of it all.
When we finally filled into a parking spot, I flung open the door and waited at the front for Scott. He held out his arm for me to take. I grabbed his biceps and wrapped my arm around his and giggled slightly. "What a gentleman."
Arm in arm, we made our way into the restaurant. We let go once we were standing by the desk, waiting for someone to escort us to our reserved table. An attractive man came up to us. His hazel eyes scanned my body up and down once before smiling. I shifted uncomfortably and Scott's jaw clenched a bit. I was surprised that he kept his mouth shut"Hello, my name is Adrian. I will be your waiter today. Please follow me."
We weaved through the maze of tables scattered around the diner until we stopped in front of a two person table. "Here we are. Best table in the house for the cutest person in the house." He said as he turned directly to me. I blushed slightly. Scott looked a battered mix of anger and jealousy. It was kind of cute.
We sat down and spoke between our selfs for a bit. After a while, Adrian came back. "What can I get for you two?" His gaze never left me. I saw my boyfriend shift a bit in his chair and his knuckles were turning white. I smirked a bit at him. Why hasn't he said anything yet?
I wanted to play this, but I decided that I should stick up for Scott. "Actually I'll just have whatever my boyfriend is having." Scott seemed to calm down, but Adrian didn't seem fazed.
"Okay, hon." He shot me a quick wink before turning to the blond on the other side of the table. "What will you two be having this evening to drink?"
"Mitch can't have alcohol, so we'll just have water." He wrote it down.
"Mitch. Cute name." He tried it out. Then he left.
"I'm going to kill him." Scott ranted through gritted teeth. I stood up to go sit on his lap.
"Don't worry about him." I whispered in his ear. I looked back to see Adrian coming with our water so I leaned down, smirked, and started kissing my boyfriend. Our waiter coughed a bit to announce his presence. I stood up and walked back to my side of the table. "Oh, sorry. I didn't see you there." I shot Scott a smile.
"What would you like to eat?" He asked me. I hadn't had a chance to look over the menu.
"What would you suggest?" I asked as a genuine question. But of course...
"Me." He whispered in my ear with subduction playing at his words. I watched as Scott stood up abruptly. I quickly pushed Adrian away and grabbed Scott's hand. I gave him a reassuring nod and asked him to sit back down.
I turned back to Adrian. "Listen, I have a boyfriend. I love him very much and there is no way in hell I would trade him for a nub like you."
He chuckled a bit and quipped back quickly. "You must be crazy then, because I'm better than anything he could dream to be. Completely mad. I'll get you guys another waiter!" Then he stormed off. I looked down at the table cloth. He doesn't know you, he didn't mean it like that. He doesn't know, he doesn't know. I replayed it over and over in my head. I played it like it didn't phase me. That knob wasn't going to ruin our first date.
We got a new waiter, ate our food (which was delicious) and left without another problem durning the night. But when we got to the car, I felt drained. I felt a hand on my leg. "Are you okay, hon?" Scott asked.
"Yeah, I'm just... tired." I lied. "Thanks for the date. Aside from that stupid waiter, it was amazing." I. Leaned over and kissed his cheek. I was telling the truth about that part. As long as I was with him, there was no place I'd rather be.
