Chapter 33: Forbidden View

Without still a shirt on, TOP took his time in choosing what to wear. Although, he can wear anything because, he’ll be disguising anyway. Like a statue, TOP stands with a great posture on his position with only his head slightly turning on left and right to inspect every shirt that were hanged in his closet. The dim lights of his walk-in closet seemed to brighten as it strikes to his very fine and rosy skin. Also, the not so bright lights didn’t hinder to show in detail his lean yet naturally sculpted body instead, it adds this kind of dramatic shadowy look of his long torso especially his perfectly broad shoulders and manly back.

Slowly and silently, I opened the door and saw that ‘forbidden view’ of TOP. I don’t know if I would feel so lucky because, I’m one of those rarest people who saw him in TOPless since, he’s the only celebrity who doesn’t show too much skin in public or would I feel embarrassed as a woman of seeing this kind of view. 

With just five to seven steps away, I can clearly see his body. Comparing to the only picture that I saw on the internet which was taken years ago, I can say that his built improved. I don’t know how would I describe what I’m seeing right now but I’m sure that he lost some fat and gain some muscles and few packs, of course.

Shocked and short breathed, I lost my grip on my snickers. At that very moment, he turned his head towards my position...

“A—I’m so--- sorry...” (In Korean) I closed my eyes and turned my back.

In a split second, I ran in embarrassment leaving my snickers on the spot. I was still lucky though because I didn’t forget to wear the hospital slippers that I was wearing earlier.

“Stupid!!” I shouted to myself as I go inside the cab that waited for my payment.

“Kaja, Kaja, I’ll pay later.” I told the cab driver.

TOP tried to stopped Chin from running by catching up but he suddenly stopped on the door entrance because of the reason of not having a shirt on.

“Aish!” TOP irritably told himself and returned to his walk-in closet.

Until...

“Hahaha... I know that you’ll return to get this.” He gladly said as he picks the pair of snickers.

TOP placed the snickers again on the same spot where he positioned them in the living room and immediately, he went inside his walk-in closet to get the very first shirt that he saw. With black knitted long sleeves on, he walked back to his living room and sat down on his white cosy sofa. In a teasing facial expression, he grabbed the snickers and placed them on the glass front table.

“Alright, timer starts now...” TOP gladly said and gazed on the snickers in front of him.

Minutes passed and still no Chin appeared.

After two hours...

“Wow, what a woman?!” He irritably told to himself.

“AISH!! You’re the only person who made me wait this long...” He addressed the snickers as if that it’s Chin.

“Don’t worry, Seung Hyun... I know that she’ll be returning soon for her job... and when that day comes I’ll make sure that I’m around!!” He convinced himself. 

This day is such a mess. I don’t know if I’d done something wrong for experiencing such misfortune. Plus, the silence as well as the four corners of my room made me feel that I’m jailed and paying for all my wrong doings. It may look so ironic that I feel so down now that I met you and you met me but it’s really true.

“TOP, why did I meet you in this type of setting?...Yes, before, I was hoping that you’ll know my existence... b—but not in this kind of situation.” I told myself in teary eyes.

Adding to that I also left my favourite snickers in his condominium, now, I don’t know what face will I show when I come back to do my job.

** AUDIO FLASHBACK**

“Sure! Just do your job well because my name is at stake. Fighting!” Mi Rae’s voice

**END OF AUDIO FLASHBACK**

Although, TOP decided not to wait for Chin anymore, he just stayed inside his condominium the whole day. From the white sofa, he stood up and got a book to read. Then, he returned to the sofa, sat down and started reading. He got surprised by the time he opened the first page of the book and saw Chin’s face. He again turned to another page and again saw Chin’s face. When he turned again to another page...

“Don’t deny it... Why do you keep on seeing my image? I know that you’re starting to fall for me...” the image of Chin on the next page started to talk.

TOP’s heartbeat risen after the image of Chin talked to him. He closed the book and rubbed his eyes. He really can’t distinguish if he was just dreaming or not. But one thing is for sure, this man has already fallen in love...
