Chapter 34: Call My Name and I'll Be There...

Another busy weekday comes the next day, a very usual day for all the people but not for TOP because, again he woke up too early, if we again consider his clock. Actually, he didn’t have a good night sleep last night because of thinking what the image of Chin told him. Few moments after he opened his eyes, his phone rang...

“Hello?” TOP answered.

“Seung Hyun, the drama production called me last night. They told me that the script will be revised which will make everyone to be vacant for a week, except for the writer, of course.” His manager informed him.

“Oh, I see... So... does that mean that I can have a week vacation?” TOP gladly asked.

“Not really because, on this week you will have a day to do a photoshoot but I’m not yet sure on what day would that be...”

“Really? Only one day?”

“Yes, I’ll just text you the schedule once I confirmed the day.”

“Okay!”

“Alright, you can again sleep now. I know that I woke you up. Sleepy head...” His manager joked and hanged.

“I guess that the heavens favour me... hahahaha” TOP laughed and started to call his road manager, Mr. Kim.

My morning class ended early since, we just had a written examination for the whole period which I confidently finished in less than an hour. The sun has already risen for hours and still my inner self has not been able to move on from what happened yesterday and the day before. Bothered and down, I slowly walked my way to the library cafe to have my duty.

My feet started to get tired. Thanks for forgetting my snickers in TOP’s condominium now, I need to suffer with my two-inched heels which I only reserve to wear during special occasions. Watching my steps and hoping not to get tripped, a voice started to call me from afar behind me.

“Chin, wait for me.” Mi Rae shouted.

I paused and turned around.

“I was about to call you...” Mi Rae told me as she catches her breath.

I smiled and waited for her to stabilize first.

“Mr. Kim called me a while ago. He was asking if ‘I’ could come at 12nn to cook something for lunch... It seems that he still doesn’t know...” She added.

“B—But... I still have a duty in the Library cafe.” I told her.

“Aish... I totally forgot!! I already gave him my yes. Don’t worry; I’ll just call him to tell that I forgot that--”

“No, it’s fine, Mi Rae. I’ve been causing you too much trouble these days.”

“Chin, don’t tell that... I’m your friend. We’re all in this together... Way back to what I’m saying, he also told me that you’ll just cook for this day and nothing else.”

TOP called Mr. Kim to inform his housekeeper to come early to cook something for lunch. He didn’t inform yet his road manager especially his manager regarding the past incident. Of Course, he told Mr. Kim all the possible alibis that he can think of just to make Chin to come early. In Mr. Kim’s knowledge, TOP would not be around during the hours that she’ll be preparing the food.

12nn...

I’m now on my way to Mr. Choi’s condominium. I must call and address him this way because, I’m not here to fangirl but I’m here to serve as his housekeeper. Plus, I don’t want him to know that I’m a super duper loyal fan, although, he already saw my socks with his face printed on. This day and the coming days would really test my drama skills. What’s the use of calling and claiming myself as a drama queen in our clan?!

“Breath in, breath out... Forget, forget, past is past...” I calmed myself as I insert my key in the key hole.

The door unlocked...

“Thank, God. No one’s home...” I told to myself as I walked in.

Little by little, I carefully stepped my feet inside to completely check if no one’s home but my heart started to pound when I saw an open book that seemed to float on air at the top (back rest) part of the white sofa in the living. I moved closer (still quite far from the sofa) and saw TOP, I mean Mr. Choi lying on the sofa reading a book. I tried to hide my ‘fangirl side’ and didn’t disrupt him.

“Hey, aren’t you going to say something or greet your boss, at least?” Mr. Choi (still reading) told me as I walk to the kitchen.

Wow, he speaks very well in English now. The last time that Bigbang went to the Philippines to have their Alive Tour, I didn’t remember him speaking in English. Maybe, YG required them (Bigbang) to train in knowing the language.

“A--- Anneonghaseyo” I greeted in Korean.

“Bibimbap. I want Bibimbap.” He told me as his eyes still focusing on the book that he’s reading.

“Yes, s—sir.” I replied.

I think he’s pertaining to the Adobo Bibimbap that I made last time. Before I start to cook, I decided to listen to OPM (Original Pinoy Music) in my phone to cleanse my ‘fangirl self’ and also to activate my patriotism.  I left my left ear without an earphone to hear if Mr. Choi would have any request.

In less than an hour, I finished cooking the Adobo Bibimbap and setting the dining table. From the dining room, I walked towards the living room to inform Mr. Choi that the food is ready but as I moved closer, I found that he fell asleep with his book resting on his chest. Bit by bit, I again moved closer and minimized the volume of my phone but below his head which was resting on the sofa, I noticed a pair of black sneakers. I slowly sat down and placed my phone in my left hand and started to reach the black sneakers. On the moment that I reached them, his bold black eyes gradually opens. To my surprise, I lost my grip to my phone which made the plug of my earphones to remove...

Call my name and I’ll be there. . . . .’

As my phone plays in loud music, I don’t know why the time seemed to pause. I thought that this just happens in dramas. With only a few inch between us, our eyes met. My heart started to pound insanely...
