10:30pm...

From his shoot somewhere in Seoul, TOP went straight to Han River to see Chin. At this time, there were no people around except for him. Although, no one was around he decided to be in slight disguise wearing big black shades and gray beanie. He parked his car to somewhere dark where no one could know that he’s in the area at that hour.

On the cold and moist grass facing the beautiful and calm scenery of Han River, TOP sat down and waited for Chin. The cool breeze passed against his face. He closed his eyes and held his breath to feel at its fullest the scent of nature. While waiting, he grabbed his phone and started to browse his gallery. Few stolen shots of Chin and the video taken by her in the Namsan Tower were the only items in his gallery. For every single picture, few moments flashed in his mind.

11:00pm...

I decided to see TOP in the Han River today despite of our situation today. After I went out the bus, I searched the whole place. I walked a couple and meters and found a familiar black sport car parked in the darkest part of road along the river. I moved closer and confirmed that it was TOP’s sports car. He could just be somewhere here.

Not too far from his car, I saw a man seated on the ground facing the Han River wearing a light brown coat, gray jeans with his gray beanie and big shades on. I slowly walked towards him. As I moved closer, I could now clearly see his image. I sat beside him...

“Did you miss me?” I told him with my sight focusing on the night view of Han River.

“You don’t need to ask me that...” he replied with his head also facing on the farthest view of the river.

Suddenly, few little drops of snow started to fall down. I didn’t know that today would be the day of the first snow fall. I wore my hoodie on and buttoned my jacket to keep me warmer, since I only wore two layers of clothing.

In a little while, TOP placed his coat around me and moved closer. Unexpectedly, he hugged me tightly. With his hug, I could feel his warmth and sense his protection.

“I’m sorry, Chin...” He whispered as he continued to secure me in his arms.

I placed my arms around him to make him feel that there’s nothing to worry about but I guess feelings don’t lie because, tears started to drop from my eyes. Silently, on his shoulders I cried.

Slowly his arms loosened and with my best effort, I tried to hide my tears by spreading my hair sidely on my face. I turned my head on the opposite side and wiped my tears.

“Aish... I didn’t know that it will snow today. I’m so allergic with cold nights...” I announced and sniffed in.

“Don’t worry. You won’t feel cold when you’re with me.” He replied and grabbed my hands and placed them inside his two hands as he rubbed my hands.

We both remained silent and just feel the presence of one another as we experience the romantic snowy view of the Han River. In a very rare opportunity, fireflies showed and danced with the falling snow.

“Wow, this is awesome.” He gladly said.

“Yes, it seems that they’re excited to be in the snow.” I replied with a full smile.

TOP stood up and tried to catch some of them. In no time, I saw that he caught few of them. I went back with his two hands closed and seated much closer to me.

“Hey, Chin. Look I caught some---“ He got cut when he slightly opened his palm to check how many he caught.

“I mean. I caught one! See?” He proudly continued and showed me.

But when I peeped, the firefly seemed to lose its glow.

“I think, you need to set it free now.” I told him.

“But why?” he asked and checked the firefly.

“Aish! What a weak creature...” he irritably added and set the firefly free.

“They’re not really weak because, they’re fireflies. They belong to nature. They brightened up the cold dark sky. At the same time, they draw smiles to people’s faces. No one can own them because, their glow is for everyone.” I explained.

“Are you trying to tell me something?” he asked.

“Nothing. I’m just telling the truth.” I replied.

After that we both again remained silent and placed his right arm around me. I rest my head on his shoulder and we both continue to enjoy the cool and bright night in front of the Han River.

I just hope that I made the right decision...
