Okay so there are a lot of things I'm going to rant about, the first thing is tests and exams. so like I said in the last rant I have a lot of those coming my way. One of them I took today, I'm not sure how I did, but I did a lot of scribbling all over my tests from the notes we learned and all that so I guess that might help. I'm going to have to take a algebra test on Monday that I'll be missing due to the orchestra thing I'm doing, but I don't think I'm as ready for that as I am the other tests. then when I get back to school tomorrow, I have 5 minutes of 5th period then go straight to 6th period, where I have a test, I feel prepared for it though I studied and made flash cards and stuff so I hope I do well on it. In Spanish today I got my review packet for the semester finals, it had quite a few pages but most of the stuff I know, and I know the exam is multiple choice so that makes it easier. When I was in elementary school I used to always play pretend school, pretending to have exams, yeah pretending is a lot easier than actually having them, because in pretend school I didn't have to study for the "exams" (a piece of paper with scribbles all over it not even words with the letters A, B, C, and D) yeah it's a lot of work but studying and seeing the good grade on my paper makes it all worth it.
The next thing I have to talk about is my holiday tour, I'M SO FREAKING EXCITED. Like I said in my last rant, it's a day I get to spend with all my friends, doing one of my favorite things, playing my viola, and listening to little child sing along to the Christmas songs. One of the best parts is that I get to spend time with my friends without actually having to also focus on learning something. Another thing is that I get to hang out with them all at the same time, because of everybody's different schedules, I only get to see certain people at certain times and never all together, this gives me that chance. Something that sucks though is the chairs, but that's my fault for always getting nervous in the middle of the test and messing it up. I practice so hard and just shadow bow it perfectly all the way until it's my turn to actually play then I scare myself and mess it up, it sucks. so now I think I'm going to be in 5th chair which really stinks. So we get to wear Santa hats and stuff and I think my Santa hat is really nice because it has my name sewn on the front and I have this little jingle bell and this snowman with a bell that have always sat on the end of it. Just thinking about this gets me into the Christmas sprit and that makes me happy.
Speaking of Christmas sprit, today my family decorated our Christmas tree and our house. the tree looks pretty nice with all the ornaments that my brother, sister, and made when we were younger, plus the lights and the newer, regular, colored ones. Then we have out elfs on the shelf, if you don't know what and elf on the shelf is, it's a elf that comes to your house every Christmas and watches you to make sure you're good for Santa, yeah so that's fun to set up for my brother to find them everyday.
Just thinking about winter and Christmas makes me happy, the hot chocolate, the sweaters, the boots, the Christmas music, the Christmas lights on people houses, the shopping, the Christmas trees, present exchanged, getting to spend time with my family, I get a big smile just thinking about it. The reason I didn't say anything about building snowman or even snow in general is because in Texas there is no snow here. It has only snowed once since I remember, and it wasn't even really snow like the white fluffy stuff. it was kind of just kind of crunchy clear ice, less than an inch had fallen and the was barely enough to build a snowman a little bigger than my hand. About 3 days later all the so called "snow" was gone and 2 days after that the snowman my sister and I built had completely melted. Yes, it was very sad, I was little at this time and so my younger sister and I had a funeral for our snowman. Yeah the other time I've seen snow was when I went to Vermont for a week during Christmas, when we went outside we had about 5 layers of clothing on and even with that much on, about 20 minutes after we got out there we usually had to go inside because our fingers were so frozen we couldn't move them, it was fun but very cold.
Yeah so that's all the stuff I had on my mind. I'm really glad I got to do a longer rant, because I usually don't get to do that. But I'm glad I did and I hope I get it more often, well I'm going to go to bed so I can actually be awake for tomorrow when I get up at 6:30 so bye.
