So my summer officially started on the 3rd of June at 4:08 p.m. , so I'll start off by explaining that day to you guys.
When I arrived at school all the girls were all in pretty dresses (including me) looking all fancy and stuff for our 8th grade dance, not all of the guys dressed up, some dressed up fully, some half dressed up, and some didn't at all but most of the guys really didn't care in the first place. We weren't in first period very long before all of 8th grade was sent to the cafeteria were we all got cookies and got to see our friends, we took a lot of pictures then headed back to class. Second period we played apples to apples in English and it got really dirty really fast, yep even the cards were dirty. Yeah the description on the toy card "There not just for kids anymore." that's all I'm going to say about that. Third period we played hangman, and it was the dumbest things, like "yo mum" and "you need therapy" yeah I don't even know. Fourth period, the last class we had to go to for the day, first we found out what orchestra we got in for highschool, I was put into the orchestra I was expecting to get put into so it's all good, but I hope I can possibly move up an orchestra second semester. Then I helped put up the cellos and basses that were going to be stored over the summer, then came lunch. After we ate they dismissed us to the gym, but the girls went first. Before we reached the gym doors Becca and I connected arms as we were ready to walk into the last thing we were going to do as 8th graders together, we walked in and it was dark, but there were small bits of light in some areas and overall it looked amazing. Within 10 seconds Becca spotted the candy bar and we rushed over to it (whoever's idea it was to have that probably didn't expect the mess of it afterwards), we saw everyone and said hi and it went on from there. At first I didn't think I or any of my friends were going to be dancing, but was I wrong, we had a lot of fun and danced to just about every song until about the end when we started to get tired. Then Becca, Ethan, Mason and I went out of the gym and spent the last 15 or 20 minutes of the dance talking about random stuff. The lights were turned back on and we everybody had to go back in the gym so they could dismiss us. Then of course somebody found one of the balloons and started sucking the helium out of it, everybody joined in and we had our last laughs. Right before we left the gym, I looked around at everyone, and Becca and I both looked at each other and said for about the ten-millionth time and the last that day, "We did it." I almost had tears there, then as I was saying goodbye to everyone and comforting my crying friends, I almost had tears there too, I didn't cry but I knew at the beginning of the day I was going to feel something that I wouldn't want to feel, and I left and I didn't look back at the school because I knew I would lose it if I did.
And now I've got the summer, then highschool the moment where I have to start to pick my career, study harder topics and learn about my self and what's around me before I step into the real world. Yes I'm excited just as every other person probably is, but I'm also kinda scared. Are the classes going to be super difficult to were I struggle to get A's or worse? Am I going to be lost all the time? Am I going to lose my closest friends? But I guess I can't sit here and just think negatives, because there are positives, I'll get to have new experiences, I'll probably meet a few new people , and I'll get to make more great memories, yep highschool.
Alright time to talk about my 3 days of summer so far. Saturday - It was my mom's birthday, so I cleaned the kitchen for her while she was out watching my brothers soccer game, because she likes it when things are clean except she saw my finishing up and asked if I had fallen on my head, but she liked it. Then I went over to my neighbors and baby sat there baby for a little bit, he's soooooooo cute and only 6 months old, ADORABLE!! MY grandmother came over and we ate my mom's birthday dinner and had strawberry pie for dessert. Sunday - Our close family friends came over for the day, and decided to make aqua socks. like waterbeds for your feet, all you need is duck tape and plastic bags, it was a fail but still fun to make. Today - Since my mom started working and my dad was on a work trip we had to watch my brother (and we have to every day this summer, on Mondays through Thursdays) so it wasn't too exciting. After that we had an orthodontist appointment, which I found out I'm almost done wearing my braces YAAAAYYYYY, (I'm sooooooo happy about that you don't even know because it has been 2 whole years and I'm certainly ready to be done) but sadly I still don't know exactly when I'm getting them off.
So that's my update for today it's decently long so I don't have much else to say, byeeee.
