Chapter 18
“WHAT!?” We all screeched at the same time.
“But sir, it wasn’t supposed to be like that!” Alarm shot through me, “you’ve just gone too far, sir,”
“Sir you can’t do that. You’re crossing the line,” Daniel protested along with me but Woods silenced all of us.
“Michael will see you out,” he jerked his head towards the door at the barely breathing Abigail.
“B-B-But I-I di-didn’t d-d-do anything w-w-w-wrong!!” She stammered, disbelief and hurt filling her eyes, “I won’t let you take my animal away from me,”
“You’ve caused too much trouble around here in this school, Miss Price! You’ve been caught with theft, attempted shop lifting; you get involved in too many fights over small things like when one of your friends didn’t bring your lipstick. Honestly, you haven’t even been much help to the school. You’re just another soul that we’re all wasting time, money and effort on. I don’t see where you fit on the ladder. You can’t heal, comfort or even a hold a gun, let along swords and arrows. I don’t see a point of you studying at a school where you can’t learn anything at all and when you’re not even a good contribution towards us. You’ve let us down. I won’t say it again. Get. Out.”
My mouth hung open as I stared wide eyed at Woods, anger rolling off of him suddenly. “B-But-” she argued but was silenced immediately as Woods hissed at her, his teeth bared and his eyes glowing.
Part of me wanted to defend her, although I knew that she was a bitch but the other half was siding with Woods, saying that his words were true. The only thing Abigail did all these while was putting on makeup, gossiping and all that shit. I didn’t even know what her ability was! Heck, I bet she hasn’t even unlocked it. I stared at my shoes silently as she started sniffing. I could tell easily that Fara wasn’t expecting this decision from the principal as well as she curled her hands into a fist and her knuckles started turning white.
“Mr Woods, there’s surely a way around this, sir. We should explore other reasons,” Fara spoke up, her voice soft and gentle but had a rough edge around it clearing not wanting to defend the peacock but felt was the right thing to do.
“We don’t have time to explore, Fara!” Woods snapped, causing me to flinch suddenly, “I’ve made up my decision! Abigail Price will be stripped from her peacock and she will know and remember absolutely nothing about Southern Brooks and Siliken. I hope I’ve made that clear. Send her towards the lab and tell nurse Lightheart to assist to her,” Woods looked away and I detected a hint of command in his voice.
A command that none of us can refuse. Adults usually use command on us so that we wouldn’t get into trouble but only a certain number of them are allowed to use command on us. For example, the king and queen and his family. Their voices are of those that we can never ignore. Our parents and guardians as they are of a higher rank then us. Also our teachers but if strangers or people that we have never met before in our lives command us, they would have no effect.
“Yes sir,” the three of us chorused as Fara and I turned away, heading towards the door as Daniel approached Abigail before draping her over his shoulder as tears flowed freely from her face, her eyes red and puffy. “DON’T DO THIS TO ME!!” She wailed as she wriggled in Daniel’s grasp. “Drop her,” I whispered harshly to Daniel as the office door closed behind us.
He smirked, “s’matter, Skye? Jelly?” He teased and I glared up at him, Abigail’s ass right next to his face. I hissed and looked away at Fara who approached Michael who seemed to be waiting patiently outside the office.
