Oh, hi, hi, hi, hi, hi, hi, hi, hi, hi, hi, hi, hi and hi

I'm still alive. Don't think wrong. I'm still breathing. I like burgers. I blame my in-activeness on my burgers...food poisioning.

Okay, more on the serious side, yes, I'm alive and kicking. And I'm sorry for my in-activeness. Writer's block....a serious illness :(

So, I finished Chapter 19 and I haven't even strated to 20, so it's gonna be a little longer than usual...not that this is usual. :)

So anyways, enjoy and I'm so, so, so, sorry!!

Chapter 19

“Are you serious? How the fuck are we supposed to find some kind of gem without our animals or abilities?” Fara snapped and Aqua shrugged.

“We don’t really have a choice,” Sakura said before walking over to Fara and checking her.

“Let’s just check on everyone else,” I said, standing up slowly. “Good idea. I’ll go check on Michael,” Fara said quickly before standing up and bolting towards the door, limping ever so slightly.

“Connor!” Aqua gasped before her wings supported her up and flew towards the door, a second faster than Fara.

“Annddd Imma just go make sure Jet’s still alive,” Red got up and shook her arm a little, smiling when it didn’t hurt. I glanced at Sakura who started to clean the medical supply up. She looked up at me and smiled a small smile that didn’t reach her eyes; “go,” she whispered, “I’ll be fine,”

I shot her a sad look before bolting out the door and rushing up the stair two at a time to the fourth floor.

“Daniel!” I almost shouted and burst through the door. I checked the kitchen and living room before poking my head into the den, the spare bathroom and finally the bedroom. He was flinching slightly, his face against the floor and his hands covering his head. I rushed over and flipped him causing him to groan slightly. His bed was inches away and sucking up my gut, I draped his hand over my shoulder before forcing him to stand up with me. Fucking…son of a… so…fucking…heavy. I thought between each step towards his bed. I released him as he sank into his own bed with another groan.

“Hey, get up,” I slapped his cheeks slightly and he stirred. “Oh, I see how it is,” I teased, knowing that he was awake, “I’ll leave then,”

I deliberately and slowly withdrew my hand away before he grasped it, jerking me towards him and taking me by surprise as I landed on his chest. His hands curled around my waist and a smile tugged on the corner of his lips. He rolled onto his side and rested his chin on my head, his eyes still closed. “Skylar?” his voice was soft, causing tingles to run up my spine. “Yes?” I answered innocently, staring at his chest that lifted up and down slowly, “I feel weak,” he admitted. My other hand that wasn’t in his wrist ran up and down his back soothingly and he sighed softly as I pictured him still with closed eyes but slightly parted lips. “You’ll be fine,” I smiled softly against him and his grip around my waist tightened, “why did you come late?”

“I didn’t come late,” My face fell although I knew he couldn’t see that. He chuckled softly before releasing me, “Although I desperately want to stay like this forever, I have to find out what happened to us and your head,”

“I’m fine,” I lied as the throbbing sensation poked me again and I sat up, running my hands along the stitches. Daniel sat up as well and removed my hand away from my head and traced him thumb over it as soft sparks exploded from his touch. “There, now I can confirm that you’re okay,”
