So after 20000 thousand years, I have finally updated.... sorry ^^''

This chapter is un-edited just like the whole story, which I have plans to edit once I've finished the whole book.

So, just one more chapter and an epilogue, so hang tight~

~~Skye’s POV~~

I breathed in his scent, early in the morning as my eyes fluttered open. First thing I met with was Daniel’s broad chest. I could feel the weight of his hand on my waist as I moved my upper body back to look at him. His eyes were closed but a small smile tugged on his lips.

The events of last night rolled into my mind, causing me to blush as Daniel stirred, his eyes fluttering open. I boldly met his gaze, grinning like a fool as his smile widened.

“Mornin’” he greeted, lifting his hands off my waist to run it through his hair.

“Hi,” I whispered back, blinking as I stared into his sea of blue eyes.

Seconds passed, with us staring at each other like idiots but soon, my face dropped.

Tonight was the night… the night of the battle. My bottom lip caved into my mouth as I secured it with my teeth. Daniel frowned, before he caressed my cheeks, “don’t think about it,”

I gave him a tight smile, the events of tonight vanishing from my thoughts. Daniel smiled like as if he won the jackpot or something and rested his forehead against mine, “c’mon, let’s get up. We have a lot to do today,”

---

Daniel and I walked down the halls, in all seriousness, bathed, refreshed and determined. A few students shot us a grave look and we returned it, knowing very well what was running through all our heads. Daniel and I parted ways, not before he gave me a peck on the lips. To be honest, I wasn’t really use to public affection but I guess I’m just gonna have to roll with it; since I think I could totally get use to those small delicious tingles that ran up my spine whenever his soft lips brush against mine.

I smiled at him before we went separate ways; I headed towards the B blocks while Daniel headed towards the canteen.

I reached for the door knob and turned, pushing the door open and revealing Red, Fara and everyone else. Determination flashed in their eyes as they shot me a small smile. I returned it before we continued stacking tables in silence.

Night had fallen and it was time for us to leave. This unexplainable feeling floated around in the atmosphere as friends exchanged hugs and muttering filled the canteen. I approached Fara and she started talking about our childhood, both the fun and the sad times we had.

“Remember when you would get so riled up when someone mentioned your parents?” Fara asked sadly.

“Ppsh,” I scoffed before I darted my eyes wildly, “yeah. Man, I feel stupid,”

Fara laughed, “Why? It’s a natural reaction,”

“It’s a natural reaction to punch someone in the face when they bring up my past?” I asked sarcastically.

Fara turned around, facing the stage as Woods took his stand, a mic in had while a laser pointer in another. My ears perked up and I realized that Fara’s did too.

“The Amnestians have a limited supply of Oncelate gems,” Woods started immediately. “We know that there are some that camp out near the star that produces the gem. We’ve already started the operation by sending the Earth Braches towards that camp because they’re not as affected as pure Silikieans. As we have learnt recently. Jack will trigger the alarm when the camp is defeated. While that’s happening,” Woods beckoned towards a group of people near the corner of the canteen.
