Chapter 1- A new begining

A rushing sound was heard as I entered the bathroom and dropped my towel before entering the bathtub, letting the warm water cover my body and I stared into the water as my brown hair drifted around my body. My fingers played with the bubbles floating on the water and I sighed. Hugging my knees to my chest, I laid my head on them and closed my eyes.

I ran back into my seat, placing my chin on my hand, pretending as if nothing happened as Ms.Piper entered the class room, nodding curtly. She sat down and placed her books on her table. Girls started to giggle and a few boys looked around the class, avoiding eye contact with their teacher.  Ms.Piper raised an eyebrow and pulled out a marker from a drawer. “Alright class,” she began but her words were drowned with screams as she stared wide-eyed at her marker. A forked tongue was flicking in front of her face. She dropped her marker and started prancing around, screaming her lungs out as the class exploded with laughter. The snake recoiled and turned into a boy with dark green eyes and jet black hair-laughing- as his forked tongue flicked out once in a while. “Sweet move, Michael!” Someone called out.

 Ms Piper was leaning on the board for support, clutching her chest and gasping for air. She looked at me, her beady black eyes full of hatred and disgust and her face started to look a little like a rat. I cocked my head and smirked. She knew it was me who told Michael to turn into a snake and coil around her marker. No one in this school was that awesome at pranks. Michael was still laughing as he headed towards his seat, giving me a high-five on his way.

“Skylar Jay Grey,” Ms Piper began, looking into my eyes and narrowing hers.

“Aw shucks, miss. You know better not to call me by my full name,”

“Well, I think that in this situation, your full name is needed, Ms Grey,”

I chuckled a little and nodded my head, “You were saying, miss?” I locked eyes with her and sat up properly on my chair. “Well, I was saying-“

“Yes?” My eyes bored into hers and I slightly narrowed them.

“I was just saying that-“She stopped mid-way, scratching her head, forgetting what she was about to say. I cocked my head and the class erupted with laughter again. “Burgh, Skylar. Principal’s office,” Ms Piper said, messaging her templates. I chuckled and stood up, heading out. Sakura (a tiger), extended her hand out and I slapped it gently, giving her a soft low-five. “We’ll come pick you up,” she mouthed. I smiled and looked at Ms Piper, her back facing towards me.

“Dat ass, miss. You’ve got dat ass,” The class exploded with laughter again and she whipped around, glaring daggers at me “GET OUT!!” she screeched. I chuckled as I jogged towards my good old friend’s office.

 I laughed gently and got out of the tub, wrapping a towel around me and opening the bathroom door, I headed towards my room and I decided to grab a glass of water. Closing the door behind me, I looked around, staring at pictures of my family, which I hung up on the wall. I sighed and placed the glass of water on my dresser.
