When I went out front of the museum, a girl with a Clefairy came to me and started asking questions. "Who are you and why did you transform out of that suit of armor?" she asked almost screaming. I cover her mouth and say, "I'll tell you if you promise to keep your voice down and not to tell anyone. You promise?" I ask. She nods her head and I back up a little bit. "My name is William Hatchett. I come from Pallet Town and I am the Legendary Trainer." I whisper to her. "I try to keep my two identities separate so that no one treats me differently. That's why I wear the armor." She stands there in amazement. When she finally speaks, she asks "Can I travel with you?" almost as if she was screaming it so loud for the town to hear her.
"I'm sorry, but no. I can't put anyone else in danger because they are seen with me. Plus, people will figure out who I am if you are traveling with me and you're seen with the Legendary Trainer." I said. She looked really upset. Her Clefairy looked at me and started to tell me about how they've been on there own for quite some time since the girl's parents went away on a mission with the Pokémon Rangers. "Please just let us travel with you so that Ellie can be happy for a change." Clefairy pleaded with me. "Fine. Ellie, you and Clefairy can travel with me. Just know that your Clefairy is one heck of a negotiator." I say as I start walking. Ellie cheers up and says "Wait, what? What do you mean Clefairy is a good negotiator?" "Your Clefairy is the one that convinced me to let you all travel with me." I said.
"How is that possible?" Ellie asked. "I can hear a Pokémon speak just like we do. It's part of my abilities. Clefairy told me that you have been on your own for quite some time since your parents went on that mission with the rangers. Let's just say that I have a soft spot for when a Pokémon pleads for a trainer's happiness. It shows that the trainer is definitely doing something right in how they train their Pokémon." I say. "That's so cool! Can I see what Pokémon you have with you?" Ellie asks. We stop so that I can introduce everyone to Ellie and Clefairy. "Everyone, this is Ellie and Clefairy. They are going to be traveling with us from now on." I say. All of my Pokémon go up to meet them, except for Pidgey.
"Pidgey, what's wrong?" I ask. "This girl is just going to travel with us with that?" Pidgey asked pointing at Clefairy. "What's wrong with Clefairy?" I asked. "It's an alien. It's not a Pokémon that originated here." Pidgey said. "That's a little harsh to say. Even if that's true, that doesn't mean that we don't extend a hand to them and welcome them to join us. Look, I know you're concerned for the same reasons I am. We will keep them out of danger when I go Legendary. I'll definitely need you to help me do that. You think you're up for it?" I asked. "You can count on me, William. I'm sorry about what I said." Pidgey said. "It's not me you should be apologizing to about what you said. Clefairy heard you and is really hurt." I said.
Pidgey walks over to Clefairy and says, "I'm sorry for everything that I said. I was just worried that William would be put in danger if you and Ellie got in trouble and he risked stopping the bad guys to save you all. Can you forgive me?" "Of course. We all worry about the safety of our trainers. I don't blame you for that." Clefairy said. Ellie looks at me and asks, "What's going on with those two?" "They are just trying to get along. They should be good friends soon." I said. I withdrew everyone except for Pidgey so that we could continue on. Pidgey flew up high to see if there were any dangers ahead.
"So, Pidgey seems to be like your guardian." Ellie says. "In a sense, he is. He was the first Pokémon I ever caught and he has been so loyal to me since then. There was one night that I remember when I was back home in Pallet Town, when I got the armor, that I say Pidgey talk to Zapdos. I heard the whole conversation, but Pidgey doesn't know that I know what they were talking about." I said. "What did they talk about?" Ellie asked with a puzzled look on her face. "Zapdos told Pidgey that he was the one who would have to watch over my since Zapdos couldn't travel with me. Pidgey treats that like he received a direct order from the king of his nation. So, Pidgey has been watching out for me ever since." I explained.
"That's incredible." Ellie said. Istopped in my tracks. "What's wrong?" Ellie asked. I knelt down and placed myhand on the ground to sense what Pidgey was warning me about. The ground wasbeing hit repeatedly and very hard. There was a stampede coming our way. Iidentified the Pokémon in the stampede. "There's a Rhyhorn stampede coming ourway. Do you trust me?" I asked. "Yes, but what are you going to do?" Ellieasked. "It's morphin time!" I said as I activated the armor. I activated theLugia mode and flew Ellie and Clefairy to where Pidgey was sitting on thenearby cliff. The Rhyhorns all left as if something frightened them. "Pidgey,do you know why the Rhyhorn started to stampede?" I asked.
