The Legendary Trainer: Kanto

Chapter 6: A Legendary in Danger

Pidgey pointed to the cave that led into Mt. Moon. There was a Pokémon that I had never seen before attacking. When I looked at it intensely, I saw a new symbol. I instantly knew who the Pokémon was. "Ellie, you and Clefairy stay here. Pidgey, watch over them and keep them safe." I said. "What are you going to do?" Ellie and Clefairy asked. "I'm the Legendary Trainer. I'm going to train that Legendary." I said as I started to fly towards the Pokémon. I land in front of the Pokémon and say "Okay Entei, calm down and let me help you." I raise my visor and activate the energy stare. It settles down just enough for me to wrap my arms around its head. I place one hand on its nose and it calmed down. I had it start to lie down. When it was lying down, I drew the symbol and Entei started to speak to me.

"Legendary Trainer?" Entei asked. "Yes Entei, I am the Legendary Trainer. Can you tell me why you're here in Kanto instead of Johto?" I asked. "I was forced here by a group of humans that call themselves Team Rocket." Entei said. "Don't worry, Entei, I'll deal with Team Rocket myself. Can you get back home?" I asked. "The problem is, my siblings and I were forced from our home to come here." Entei told me. "Come on, Entei. It's time for you to come be with your siblings." A menacing voice said behind me. I turned around to see who it was. I looked and saw the same man I fought five years ago when I met Red. "Giovanni of Team Rocket." I said grudgingly. "Have we met before? I don't think so. I would remember an armored trainer." Giovanni said. "We've met before, but even if I told you my name, it wouldn't help you remember." I said.

"Alright then. Who are you?" Giovanni asked. "I am the force of nature that protects Pokémon from those who would mistreat them for their own selfish ambitions. I am the Legendary Trainer! But you can just consider me your worst nightmare." I say as I stand up and get between Giovanni and Entei. "I'll definitely remember you now after such a dramatic introduction. Wait, you're the one those two buffoons keep saying foils their heists. Why don't you keep your nose out of other people's business." Giovanni said. "If you people wouldn't mistreat Pokémon, I wouldn't have to interfere." I said.

Entei began to stand up behind me. "Legendary Trainer, allow me to have the honor of fighting alongside you to face this evil doer." Entei said to me as he stared at Giovanni. "The honor would be all mine, Entei." I said. "Oh, so we have a battle challenge? That's great. I'll play your little game. Nidoqueen, attack!" Giovanni said. I connected Entei to my telepathic link. "Entei, we need to be careful. That Nidoqueen knows surf. Use Iron Head." I told Entei. After one Iron Head, Nidoqueen was nearly taken out and Giovanni knew it. It flinched and we went for another Iron Head and knocked it out. Giovanni took the Nidoqueen back and said, "This isn't over. It's only just the beginning!" as he left with some other Team Rocket members.

"Entei, if you can't leave until we get your siblings free, how about you travel with me until we get your siblings and can return you home?" I ask. Entei agrees and taps its paw on an empty Poke ball. The Poke ball registered as caught and Entei was now apart of the team. I had to exchange it for Nidoran to put Entei in the team. After I got Ellie and Clefairy down from the cliff, we stayed the night at the Pokémon Center just outside of Mt. Moon. As I slept, I found myself in a conversation with Lugia in my dream about how Entei got captured in my Poke ball.

"He can't just walk around with me, he'll reveal who I am. And I can't send him to Professor Oak's lab. I need to protect him while he's here." I argued in my dream. "I'm not disagreeing that Entei needs you to protect it, but Entei needs to return home." Lugia said. "Entei won't go without its siblings. What is it referring to when it says siblings?" I asked. "The Legendary Dogs of Johto. Just like how Kanto has the Legendary Birds, Johto has the Legendary Dogs. Entei, Raikou, and Suicune have stayed in the burning tower of Johto for many years until Team Rocket forced them to Kanto. You must get all of the dogs and return them home." Lugia said as I began to wake up. I activated the stylus and registered the symbol I saw when I met Entei into the Signdex that Professor Oak added. I checked out the armor that came with it and found that it had a lot of actual firepower.
