You fell asleep in the living room. Half your body laying on the coffee table and the rest sitting on a blanket and a few papers. Some of the papers were old job requests that Rogue has gone on and some of them were yours. On the table sat a book with clear pages for picture to fit in. In a messy stack next to it, old and new picture of Rogue, Hikari, Kage, Frosch, and you.
A woman you went on a job for not too long ago suggested a scrapbook of your family. When you got home, you thought it was a nice idea and decided to do it. Well, when you got to your new home. Your rather big home that you put your heart and soul into finishing. It was a bit flawed, but with some spit, grit, blood, sweat, and tears, you've made it a beautiful place.
When baby Kage was born, you all had moved into this home. To make due, Rogue and Frosch have been going on jobs with you at home taking care of Hikari and Kage. Every once in awhile, you let Rogue stay home and you would go out on jobs with someone from Sabertooth. Sometimes Yukino, sometimes Rufus or Orga. It all depended on who was available at the time.
With those jobs and working hard at home, you've managed to burn off all the baby weight and gain a ton of jewel. Your last job, with the woman, was about a week ago. You were planning to go on a job with Rogue soon, which was something you two haven't done in a long time. It'll be just like old times, which didn't feel that old to you.
"My my..." The sudden voice of your fiance awoke you from your sleep. You groggily lift your head off the coffee table and look around for your husband. You found him, long hair tied up with his dirty clothes still on him and a smirk being worn on his handsome face. "Looks like you've been busy."
He was sitting to your left, legs under the coffee table and head leaned against his fist with his elbow set on the table surface. He looks at you with loving eyes while you were trying to fix your tired eyesight to see him clearly.
You yawned and and smiled back, reaching out to grab his other hand sitting on the table. "Hey. When did you get back?"
"Just now." He grabs the left hand you were reaching towards him and leans down to kiss it. "You know, it's not very smart to sleep in the middle of the day." His smile melted your heart, but his words made you guilty.
"S-Sorry..." You rub the back of your head with your right hand but keep a hold of his hand with your left.
Rogue moves over closer to you, sitting only a centimeter away. "Where are the kids?" He asks as you set your head on his muscular shoulder.
You close your eyes. "They're upstairs sleeping." You tell him, trying not to slip into sleep like your children. You couldn't lie, his shoulder was comfortable and you were so tired.
He does no action to move or move you. Instead, he closes his eyes and leans his head on yours. You hear him yawn as he leaned further against you. You was starting to become heavy on your side, making you giggle and look up. Turns out he had fallen asleep before you.
His hand was still holding yours and his balance against you was rather good. You smile and move so he can lie down comfortably. You had to use your tired strength to gently set his body on the ground. You also had to use your ninja skills to grab a nearby blanket and use it to cover you and him.
You snuggled up close to Rogue and closed your eyes. You knew this was a rare peaceful moment you wouldn't have for a while, so it was best to take the opportunity and enjoy each second.
You and Rogue ended up sleeping all the way until night. You woke up before him and were even more tired than before. Your children were still sleeping and so was Rogue. It wasn't until you tried to get up and go to the kitchen that you felt Rogue's hand grab your waist and pull you back down.
